Heck it took luffy forever to cross the bridge to reach ace when trying to save him from the execution platform. It's kind of pick your poison filler, either you do long filler arcs like naruto or you do filler within eps like one piece to keep the story from the manga going but ruining the pacing. In an ideal world, you could redo the anime from the ace arc to get rid of all that filler and fix the pacing so it's more streamlined and then the anime would be just as great as it was earlier. | ||

Anime quality in general has been going down except for some really well done ones like Nurarihyon no Mago. Yeah the MF arc is a slaughter in the anime T_T watching baggy and mr3 being goofy just killed the momentum. Water7/Enies Lobies is by far my favorite arc in the anime, it respects the story line and some episodes were very well animated (Luffy vs Lucci final battle is a blast!). Roger In one aspect, One Piece is really similar to ASOIAF, it gets better on the second read. You can find a lot of foreshadowing on one piece and how everithing had a reason to happen and is interlaced. | ||

She must be legendary pirate. I mean Garp used to chase him when she was pirate. I dont know why Oda-sensei didnt give us more information about her. I really would like to know more about her. I would be very surprised if he wasn't. The misconception that Doflamingo is weak because he is afraid of Kaido is not true. Kaido is strong, yeah, but he also has an army of 500 zoans. That's probably the strongest crew on the sea right now and Kaido himself is on Whitebeard's (without the hole in his chest and face) level. I understand that regular shounen logic doesn't usually apply to One Piece, but there is still some traces of 'power levels' in the OP universe. A second in command is almost always less powerful than the leader, this is shown in every boss in OP like Hachi, Dazango, Gin, Chess, Mr. 1, Ohm, Kaku, Hyouzu and Monet. Therefore, with simple math, if Vergo = Smoker and Doffy > Vergo then Doffy > Smoker. His defeat is not very surprising. | ||

There isn't a scratch on Doflaboy. Luffy vs Zoro wouldn't leave one completely unharmed, I doubt Raleigh vs the Pirate King would have either... ( although, who knows how powerful Roger was ). Doflamingo has just been a schichibukai... probably one of the strongest ones, but I guess he has strong haki if he can beat Smoker up that badly, guess that explains his conqueror haki earlier in the chapter. | ||

Luffy and Zoro are commonly set up to give the impression the two are almost equal in strength. Obviously the two fighting each other wouldn't leave one unharmed, but that's not even a good comparison. Not to mention Smoker had recently just gotten the shit kicked out of him by Vergo, so it's not as though he was at 100%. It's not a stretch that the fight between the two ended up so one-sided. | ||
