Think so. Curious to see whether these mystery characters will be present in this arc or are just teasers. Probably teasars... If it is Lucci I still doubt he will be relevant but hope he does rejoin the plot and if he does it will probably be as an outlaw since his CP9 group was hunted down after their failure at Enies Lobby.

I think its because slimey "died" so the devil power just inhabited the nearest fruit to make a new devil fruit. Probably the same way how Blackbeard took Whitebeard's power.

Even if it is a Devil Fruit I wonder if it will actually be a unique power or a poison related power because it was created by Smiley. The ability to replicate ones own Devil Fruit power or instill Slimey's attribute into a random fruit because of the candy it ate.

its probably the Frog Frog fruit since thats the one Smiley had

it could be the gorgon gorgon fruit because the poison turned people to stone

i doubt it would be poison or gas because of CC and Magellan are still alive

Remember how Cesar said this is a demonstration and an auction? which means he has a way to reproduce this fog that freezes people. Since the content of the things near where the slim died and turned into fog is all from Cesar, it makes me wonder if the devil fruit was part of the cycle of this weapon where he will feed it to another slim to repeat this process for the buyer of this weapon.

remember devil fruit is unique, can't have more than 1 of the same fruit. He would have to start from scratch or kill the shit out of the person who ate that fruit and steal that power back.

I'm not entirely certain that it needs to be that specific model of devil fruit in order to animate slimey for his specific purposes. In that case, other zoan type fruits could possibly work. So far slimey only needs to be able to hear, obey orders, and just...slime across everything lol.
