Dude, you missed my entire argument. Instead of focusing on properly giving homage to the monstrity of Big mom and Kaido, he lierally rushed the fight and then the conclusion. He instead just went ham on the momonosuke trying to create flame cloud and etc. Oda also confirmed he wanted to have kaido with GB at end but rushed it to be in line with Red film. Also, Oda literally said his plan went sideways when he realized how long it took to finish wano.. He literally introduced so many filler scenes (raizou water, showing Ryuma for some reason, and etc)
In general, Wano was like
So much insane stuff happens, with barely any build-up.
The stakes were a totally clusterfuck, with characters living and dying almost at random. Tons of plot threads just...stopped, without conclusions.
everyone seems to forget that nobody healed the victims of the smiles, that Kaido's crew is still at udon and we still don't know what happened to Kaido and Big Mom. I hope those things will be treated in the next chapters.
It was a clusterfuck of a mess and its apparent the only fans left on TL one piece forum are hardcore fans who can't see through this shit tier writing..

Nah it's clear Oda is burned out by this. He literally told the viewers we can ignore all that he wrote up to now and FOCUS right now because we are entering into climax and also said he wants to end this ASAP in 3 years. Hes writing the final arc of the series

i think it will be 3-5 years. I agree that it's difficult to see how they could possibly stretch it out to 10 years at this point of the story

My only hesitation with a shorter timeline is its gotta be one more arc for the last Poneglyph and then one Final Arc, but theres just no way that the Final Arc can be even kind of short, right? I mean damn, Wano was like four years on its own right?

i would guess somewhere in the 5-7 year range.
we have a few "arcs" that still need to happen such as elbaf or laugh tale. during or in between those arcs i expect a lot of unexplained things to be explained. then after one piece is finally discovered we would most likely get some time for oda to conclude the series (showing things that happen after the great pirate era, maybe sh crew when theyre older etc). thats still a fair bit of content and it would be highly uncharacteristic for oda to at this point just say fuck it and rush everything

So apparently Film Red has dropped some interesting canon information about Shanks. Confirming several speculations that have been out there for a while.
Also Oda ended up structuring the manga to coincide with the release of the film so maybe that explains some of the feelings of the end being rushed.

the chapter is devoted to closing the arc, not sure what more you can criticise about it. mad we didnt find out more about im-sama?

Man stop being such a mindless fan. The main sub reddit is known for liking anything Oda writes. It's a goddamn circle jerk at this point. To see Main sub melt down is pretty amusing. Hiyori literally said something Hitler would say. Everything Oda mentioned in terms of philosophy was reversed by her statement. He wasted 60 chapters on Yamato only for him to say NAH IMA GO EXPLORE WASTELAND instead of going with Luffy to travel to the ends of the world and participate in the greatest adventure of all time to laugh tale. What a joke of a writing. I'm glad we're parting ways with scabbards. No one cared about these losers. Hoping the next arc brings excitement and the vibe of glorious pre time skip days.

i put "main" in quotation marks because i thought it was funny that you would categorise whichever community you were referring to as the one piece community. its funnier now that you were referring to the op sub reddit and you think that the sub reddit is a good indicator of a typical rational viewer.
ive seen the comments about hiyori and the points being raised are ridiculous. first of all its a pun and secondly its not an outrageous statement to make given the context of whats happened in wano. wano's setting is medieval japan, a time where disputes and hatred for rival clans or lineage was common. korozumi is the archenemy of kozuki, has been shown to only have villains and has ruined wano for decades. but somehow its despicable for hiyori to wish the worst to the korozumi clan, of which there arent even any known members left? ok buddy.
how did oda waste 60 chapters on yamato? i dont recall yamato monopolising 60 chapters worth of panels. oda baited some readers into thinking yamato might join, but most people would have guessed that yamato wasnt going to join anyway. in the end im quite glad that carrot and yamato are confirmed to not be additional members of the crew.
by your logic you should be completely furious that momonosuke stayed in wano too or that carrot is now going to remain in zou because oda "wasted" hundreds of chapters on them.

I had more hopes for this arc to be sure, Wano as a place was hyped up since chapter 450. I'm glad Yamato didn't join, I feel the crew has enough members to focus panels on.
I really can't recall if we've ever gotten this much future setup in the aftermath of an arc though, I'm fairly excited on what happens in the upcoming arcs.
And I agree with the post above, could you please stop shitting on this manga if you don't have any discussion to build around it. When someone doesn't agree with your opinion, instead of having an actual discussion you dodge and lump this person into some dismissible category of "hardcore fan" or whatever. That's just weak, this thread was created for discussion instead of immature whining; other members in this thread are clearly frustrated with your conduct as well.

the huge difference between carrot/momonosuke & yamato is that yamato repeated countless of time that she would join luffy and sail with the crew. it's not that readers liked her and so wanted her to join, she said herself she would join multiple times. so to suddenly change her mind is really weird I feel
even momonosuke, fighting the admiral, said that she would leave
I think this post-arc was really disappointing. I know stuff can be shown later with flashback, but we had no more information on Oden's journal, we didn't see the end of the story of zoro/ryuma either, and I'm kind of sad that we never saw tama eating sanji's food

Now that it’s over, I can say that wano was probably my least favorite arc
Terrible ending. Goes against the themes portrayed in the story up til now. The people of wano learned nothing.

Didn't like the ending at all, felt anticlimactic. I guess Yamato's bit is endless proclamation which does get old. I guess there's plenty of crew members already
