I feel most of the disappointment comes from the fact that the manga peaked a long time ago and naturally can't keep it's quality on that level all the time. Compared to other titles, such as Bleach and Naruto, Oda has done a hell of a job considering it's been 25 years. Agreed on the length of the manga. Oda is probably burned out and doesn't have the same motivation he used to have. I'm hoping his motivation to write the last arc revives his former prime. It was just ridiculous to see only the hardcore one piece fans here on TL forum not mentioning anything wrong with what was happening to one piece. Seems like all the non biased fans have moved on from posting here and dropped the series. | ||

Oda got no detailed plan and he knows he doesn't have to plan shit out because he doesn't have his own rules/structure to follow. Oda fans will gladly praise him and say GODAOMG!! Literally casual readers dropped it and keep chiming in to ask me what happened in one piece. They just shake their heads in disbelief when I tell them Luffy now defeated kaido after dying 4x. They're like sheesh one piece is just utter trash now. "No one is enjoying these subplots except hardcore fans!" guy says while conveniently ignoring OP is one of the most popular manga on the planet right now. I guess it just has a lot of hardcore fans. Taking your own whining and plastering them over the reader base is such conceit. | ||
