Well I wouldn't mind some explanation on Ichigo dad, his mom too(?); Kenpachi lieutenant, about division 0, the King... AIZEN FUCKING BANKAI ?, ...etc I'm really sad because Bleach was such an amazing manga, the quality of drawing is mind blowing, the characters are interesting and charismatic, the former plot was quite good but somehow Kubo messed up big time (at the end of the hollow arc for me). The drawing really isn't though. Not even close to mind-blowing, and the characters are unique in design but flat in development. Here's some mind-blowing art: + Show Spoiler +Bleach doesn't even have backgrounds. I really want Bleach to be good though. I've invested enough years following it that I give a damn and want it to succeed, but it really isn't easy.
Art is all in the mind of the beholder. What you consider mind-blowing I consider clustered and hard to understand.

I'm not here just bashing Bleach. I still read it and hope it all turns out well. We're here to criticize and discuss. I think Bleach lacks detail, particularly in its backgrounds which tend to be non-existent which detracts from the series for me. Also, there's way too many shots of just people's feet.
Since there hasn't been anything new to discuss in 2 weeks it may as well be art we discuss because nothing else as happened. And yeah, discussions tend to repeat in 228 page threads. I haven't kept track of who said what more than a page ago.

Bleach intentionally lacks in details, that's where the author got the name from. Bleach being a whitener. It's his artistic style. No comment about the feet though.

Personally I like the way Bleach is drawn much better than Naruto and One Piece, but the lack of backgrounds in almost every scene certainly shows laziness on Kubo's part. You can clearly see too many instances of him re-using panels and sequences. There are way too many shots of feet (as mentioned) among other things like someone being surprised when somebody appears behind them, etc. Overall he has a good style for battle manga but really lacks the motivation and creativity to keep it up and we see a lot of wasted panels.

He used his shikai for tricking ppl into believing he had one, since its a requirement to become a captain.
Dunno, a guy who has such an ego would surely feel inferior to the other captains if he had no bankai.. I still hope that somehow the quincy guy will free him in order to reach the king so all the mysteries will be solved : the king, the division 0 (Isshin must belong to it), and Aizen bankai.  (yeah I'm dreaming)
To the guy saying that Bleach isn't mind blowing I guess everyone has their own definition and their own mind, art is subjective.

Isshin may have previously but couldnt currently, when he killed Grand Fisher someone mentioned that was his first time using his powers for a long time so for some reason he gave up beign a shinigami to live as a human
plus this guys movement technique can get him into the SS without anyone noticing, its possible he could go to the Soul Kings palace if he wanted to but doesnt since the soul king had nothing to do with hunting quincies

Nah, even if they're written in advance, the manga will be absent to give the writer some leeway. Plus, last week was an holiday, so we had no chapter then. And 2 weeks ago, Kubo was sick.

Wow you just made me realize I've seen far far far too many feet in Bleach. I never thought about it before but now that you've said it makes the art seem so much more weak.
