Don't forget the part that Ginjo was the previous sub. shinigami and is now facing the current sub. shinigami. Just like in Yu Yu hakusho.

Right... except Ichigo may have friends but he has no best buddies like the gang of four Yu Yu had. Yuske had a girlfriend, Ichigo might be gay. Yuske trained for his powers until the demon powers emerged, Ichigo had deus ex machina teachers/ally/behaviors that power him up every time there's a guy he can't beat. I think Yu Yu Hakusho's author know when the story became lame and knew to end it, while bleach doesn't know when to quit.

Ginjo stole Itchigos powers and gave them to everyone, still unsure how Ginjo was able to do this.. perhaps its Ginjo's fullbring ability.

So did anyone else believe for a whole second that we weren't about to have 50 (This is an optimistic estimate.) tedious chapters of fights with no story development? Because I did. What a fool I was.

for a second there i thought that maybe ichigo would jsut finish this up as soon as he got his powers back and then we could move on to a real story arc but ah well

actually Yuske trained to control his demon powers after he got them, it was just a different form of training...ichigo can just magically use his powers that he randomly is given ~___~

Haha had to write in this thread, surprised they still have a "story" going here. So I ended up reading the most recent chapter after seeing this thread... ITS THE SAME THING. Just more ridiculous side-story battle, kenpachi reminds everyone he is over-powered which is hilarious.
The plot point with the video game kid is ridiculous... you guys remember the espada that could control anything by looking at it? He was only the 8th one... wtf was that haha.

IIRC Bleach was originally rejected by Jump because it was too similar to Yu Yu Hakusho ... lol
