Fright Night (1985) - Really cool piece of 80's, I love the feel that this sort of thing had at that time (especially compared to what it would have now). Entertaining, and has a couple effects and scenes that are amazing.

There is quite a bit of nudity in it as well, although it's tastefully done. I would also recommend not watching a trailer first. If you watch the trailer there's a couple of moments that seem quite impactful, and you might find yourself waiting for those moments to occur instead of allowing yourself to be immersed in this man's life. I'm having a hard time describing it because I don't want to give anything away. I watched it myself knowing nothing, and I ended up loving it. Just turn it on, and sink into it. If you enjoy this definitely check out Richard Gere in American Gigolo. Very upsetting but good movie along similar lines.

I recently saw Gravity as well. It was better than I expected, that is, not just two hours of Bullock and Clooney orbiting aimlessly until they die. It turned out to be pretty dramatic and tense throughout, which was a pleasant surprise. I may see it again.

Pretty funny. Not too much social commentary jammed into a comedy. Not as good as Borat but decent. Man of Steel I don't get the comparisons of this to Pacific Rim. I liked Pacific Rim better because giant robots > super heroes on the big screen right now. The story had a few notable flaws but it's not really stuff you notice during the movie. + Show Spoiler + Sir, I've discovered that Superman's cells contain the stuff we want to repopulate Krypton. Or we could just... you know... all have sex and reproduce naturally. Anyways I got a blood sample from him and it's in the room over there. What do you mean you still want to go down there to get his cells? I have them right here! Can't think of any other comments I had on the movie.

I did somewhat enjoy the endlessly repetitive DBZ fights though!

But Pacific Rim didn't have a story either, and that was fantastic (like will watch again), so I have my hopes.

+ Show Spoiler + Did superman really have Krypton's codex in his body in the comics? Smallville and many superhero movies seem to cater to mass audiences who don't even know the backstory to the hero rather than people who actually watched JLA or Superfriends or something.

I would also like to recommend Hunger to you if you haven't watched it yet. Here i am waiting for "12 years as a slave" to be released on Spain.

An odd epidemic appears across the globe: people suddenly lose one of their senses. At first, it's an outbreak of loss of smell. In this mix are a scientist and a chef - she's Susan, one of a team trying to understand the epidemic; he's Michael, charming and engaging. Susan and Michael begin a relationship in the middle of increasing chaos, as the loss of other senses plagues more people and as civil authorities try to maintain order. At times a little too relationshippy/emotional but an interesting story. The ending especially.

Typical spy plot most of the time, investigate bad guy, probably get caught, go through some trial to defeat bad guy, fuck women and drop them because you cbf.

Lol you should rewatch some of the earlier bond films. 50 guys shooting submachine guns across a room at him and he picks them off one by one with his pistol.

I dont really consider the new bond films as actual james bond movies, they are far too serious, even though they are probably better, skyfall was very good. Its like Nolans Batman's aren't exactly comic book movies. And Goldfinger, Dr No, and some of the others are better than casino royal / quantum of solace. The old ones were entertaining and fun, these new ones have to 1^ themselves for whatever reason.

I like the new bold films for the most part, but I can see what you mean about them not being true bond style. just watched: Being John Malkovich For some reason I went in to this thinking it would be a comedy. But it was actually kind of disturbing. Good movie though, interesting premise. I would recommend watching it just for the experience, but I don't think i'll watch it a second time. Movie 43 Despite being universally bashed by everyone, I actually really enjoyed this movie. Maybe I was just in the right mood, but I thought it was pretty hilarious. I liked the idea of these ridiculous skits, only peripherally connected. And the acting was, surprisingly, pretty damn spot on. But if there was one thing that I thought ruined it, it was the last skit which I thought was pretty lame
