Mind sharing? No image is showing. Would be nice if people would write the name of the movie in text in case something happens to the image link.. Seems to happen a lot.

If it's still not showing, I meant Cabin in the Woods.

Recently watched Iron Man 3 and Silver Linings Playbook. Iron Man 3 was fairly predictable but still entertaining. Then again I didn't have high expectations going into it after Iron Man 2. Silver Linings Playbook is fantastic in the first half, then gets a bit cheesy in the second half. Overall a great movie but I'm a bit let down at how typical the ending was.

Personally i thought it was brilliant, but i hate horror movies, so that might explain some of what you said.

Just saw Star Trek Into Darkness great movie had a great time watching it. Also, saw The Great Gatsby I enjoyed it but I walked in with low expectations. I thought it was a good movie but I never read the book so can't really do a comparison between the two.

![[image loading]](http://www.accentfilm.com/productimg/1000037.jpg) Pretty damn good. The train scene at the end is one of the most unpleasant things I have seen. Michael Haneke, I adore you.

"Stand up guys" with Al Pacino and Christopher Walken
I have to say, i really enjoyed this movie, seemingly im one of the few that did. Considering the ratings and critics this got, i would say this is one underrated movie, at least in my opinion. Would definetly recommend if you want to watch an atmospheric movie about friendship with a dark, desperate touch. Definetly funny moments in there, altho this is not a funny movie at all.

I just watched this again. I saw it originally a few years ago, but seeing it on a flatscreen and being older now and also living in NYC, I really appreciatd it. Story about a naive hustler who gets hustled. It was kind of a hero's journey where this guy comes to the city looking for something and leaves armed with...well, you have to watch it.

snatch - 7/10 men in black 3 - 6/10

Just watched our idiot brother with paul rudd, zooey deschanel and other cool actors. It was about a very easy going, cool, loving persona similar to lebowsky but more on the effect such a character can have on his surrounding people, which I liked. A nice movie to watch for a lighthearted laugh or two.

Only god forgives. Weird, lots of violence, little dialogue which doesn't bother me but I hated the ending. 5/10

Have you seen Haneke's early films? Now those are unpleasant. That scene is child's play in comparison. Just remembering Benny's Video and The Seventh Continent is making me squirm.
Luc and Jean-Pierre Dardenne's Cannes Palme d'Or winner Rosetta (1999)
![[image loading]](http://mylores.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/rosetta_image_02.jpg?w=487)
A couple of the most influential and interesting filmmakers today, their international acclaim began with this movie (though their great 1996 film La promesse is where their style was first fully formed) which I had yet to see from some reason. As with all their movies the focus is on the poor, the minutiae of their everyday lives and the moral quandaries therein. This one follows a young woman who struggles to keep a job while she has to take care of her mother who is a drunk. The Dardenne style is realism at its finest: handheld camera in mainly tight closeups and following the main character from behind. The key though as with all great movies is the editing. Their editing of handheld footage is the best. Right out of the gate the intensity is immediately there and doesn't let up. The film is tough to take as it is pretty depressing, but unlike Bresson's Mouchette which this has been compared to there is a spark of hope and humanity through all the sadness and anger.
