Quick question, as an American did you understand any of what they were saying? I'm English and i struggled with half of it because its all in a very northern dialect with alot of made up words. I was just filling in the gaps most of the time. There are also alot of UK specific references..
Amazing movie though, probably my favorite ever comedy.
+ Show Spoiler +The invisible Jihadi. They seek him here, they seek him there, but he's not there he's fucking your slag's sister

I'm American and probably would have done poorly to understand a lot of it without subtitles. Really enjoyed the film though

I wanted to see what all the fuss was about with this director. Some people would find his style boring but I liked it a lot. It reminded me a bit of "Wild Strawberries" by Ingmar Bergman.

Star Trek Into Darkness was freakin sweet! Action-packed, 3D thrill ride through space no man has gone before! The plot was unpredictably predictable with that special star trek sauce that tastes so gooood. See it!

Im trying to find a movie, its about some sort of school (possibly in mountains?) where the staff pairs puts their students in study pairs (or something) to get them later to fall in love and reproduce to create "pure" offspring and such... does that ring a bell?
|
Iron Man 1 Not Iron Man 3. Iron Man 1 was from 2008. It had good reviews. Archetype Marvel Action Movie.
|
Saw Iron Man 3 and Oblivion. Iron Man 3 was awesome and Oblivion sucked.

I enjoyed the new Star Trek, but I'm pretty good about suspending disbelief and immersing myself there are some things you could criticize but all in all I found it enjoyable~

Just saw Star Trek: Into Darkness definitely better than the last one and I actually enjoyed the last one enough to actually buy it. Action packed, funny at moments, emotional (I actually felt really sad at one point) there was really no glaring errors or mistakes I can think of like all the other popular movies nowadays. Everything made sense and there were no Prometheous/ TDKR moments that made me facepalm hard. 9/10 much better than I expected it to be surprisingly.

This movie is truly amazing.
Also I saw Reservoir Dogs this morning. It was great, began a bit slow but the second half was fantastic. 9/10

Star Trek Into Darkness 10/10 (Best of year)
Loved it. Great movie to watch. I knew the fan boi critiques were full of crap. They are 4 fold worse than SW critiques in terms of passing judgment on their own product. No SW fan will accept anything that isn't the original IV-VI, the same equiv can be said about Star Trek.
Ignore them- go watch it. I didn't do the whole 3D thing-- and it was amazing.

+ Show Spoiler + Iron Man 3 - Pretty good. Was a definite improvement over Iron Man 2 I Thought.
+ Show Spoiler + Snitch - Usually interested in a movie with The Rock in it so I checked this out. It has it's problems but I thought it was an ok movie. His son is set up in a drug bust and to reduce his son's sentence, he tries to work undercover to nab some drug dealers to reduce his sons sentence and ends up getting in way over his head. It was kinda political though in the way that it make's it message that first time drug offenders get fucked by the anti-drug laws here.

Oz - The Great and Powerful
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/NQGeHGV.jpg)
I think what I enjoyed most in this film was the intro. I thought the fact that they kept the color change was awesome considering the original Wizard of Oz film was the first to even do a B&W to color change. Other than that the rest of the film was entertaining. I got a nice flashback to when I used to watch Scrubs. Playful film that sets up the original nicely some voice acting could have been a bit better, but no big deal, really.

the intouchables - great feel good movie that had me laughing a lot, recommend it
