No need to marry when you are smashing your sister, who is married to the king that you're protecting. lol

HAHA best Quote from the HBO Discussion of the Episode:
"Very good episode. Yes, Joff is an ass. It is known."

Loving this so far It's Epic

Ugh all these nasty feeling of hatred for Joffrey are returning! + Show Spoiler + Can't wait until he gets poisoned
+ Show Spoiler + Also really curious about how they do the scene with Dany's eggs hatching
|
I think Joffrey is really well played at this point. + Show Spoiler +But his demise wouldn't be seen in a long long time until storm of swords. And the hatred for him will likely subside by that time because you will start to realize his a-hole-ness stems from the oppression of the Lannisters, which led to his lack of freedom in a way to do anything at all.

You can never fully hate anyone, really, excepting some very minor characters you don't learn much about.
Well, ok, maybe Gregor.

So, the question is.. When is the next episode?

+ Show Spoiler +Which is the brilliance of the series. You can never fully hate anyone, really, excepting some very minor characters you don't learn much about.
Well, ok, maybe Gregor.
+ Show Spoiler +But then you can't really love any one... well you can but they normally just die... Just finished the 1 book.. and God.. this guy seems to be able to kill everyone
|
+ Show Spoiler +The best part of this series is that Martin makes you love the characters, feel emotionally attached to many of them, and then can brilliantly kill them off. Everytime it feels like you lost a dear friend. I absolutely loved these books and I can't wait to see how some of the major deaths are portrayed.

If y'all like how Martin writes, I think you'll love Dan Abnett's story telling. He is also an equal-opportunity killer, the kind that makes you love and hate Martin.

My copy of A Game of Thrones is in the post and if it's anywhere near as good as Eisenhorn then I'm even more excited for it

He's referring to the point that Jaime is in exactly the same position as Jon will be as he's part of the Kingsguard, an elite force with life service

Yes, in hindsight I do realise that that was what he was going for. I still say my point stands though, because people are waaaay to happy with throwing around hints and spoilers in this thread. I have read all of the books so it's fine for me, but I know I'd fucking hate it if this had been the first time I'd watched the show and someone spoiled it for me.

Well, ok, maybe Gregor. + Show Spoiler +What are you talking about man, I love Gregor. + Show Spoiler +Well, I love him as a character, because he's such a fucking cunt, and that scene with Oberyn is quite possibly my fucking favourite in the entire series thus far. But is he likeable as a person? Fuck no, he's a piece of shit.

I love Dinklage's portrayal of Tyrion. So good.
|
Mmm the show just keeps getting better and better. It's tempting me so much to go and read the books, but then these weekly cliffhangers won't be as exciting. Grr dilemmas.
