They didn't. They were just making fun of him.

Also the soundtrack matches this amazing series perfectly. I really like it. I would honestly hit up wiki, or go and buy the books (or dl an e book) as it is alot of info. Yeah, I'm a bit frightened to read a wiki without getting major spoilage. The books are a definite buy for me as soon as university lets me read something else than science papers.
If you have a kindle you can get all 4 as a set for $25ish. A lot easier to read that way (these are some fat books and the binding comes of after a year or two)

I agree completely. However I think they might keep him for a few episodes longer than is accurate.
He is so good with this kind of role.

^Don't read that spoiler unless you read the first book. Seriously.
To answer: + Show Spoiler +Yes, I totally agree. Sean Bean was a perfect cast for that role, and atm he's pretty much carrying the show for me, what with Tyrion and the Hound having almost no screentime, Jaime being a twat this early in the series, and Arya not really having a storyline yet.

The child actors in this series are amazing, extremely good performances on all accounts. As someone who hasn't read the books the series is definitely piquing my interest.

+ Show Spoiler [End of first book spoiler] +It should be around the last 2 episodes of this year, and I suspect people will both hate initially and then love the series because of those type of things. That's how most fans of the books are. It doesn't happen until chapter 66 out of 73 in the books. Hopefully no non-reader clicks on that spoiler as it is a major plot point of the first season.

Anyone else love the delicious irony when Jaime was teasing Jon? "I'm sure it will be thrilling to serve in such an elite force. And if not - it's only for life."
|
I find the show really good, havent read the books but im hooked now and gonna check if my library have all the books.
A question, they call Eddard Ned sometimes right?
|
Does anyone know the name of the song they use for the introduction? It's pretty good...
|
Another thing, Does the "making game of thrones" clipp on youtube spoil much of the serie?

Ya Eddard's nickname is Ned.
The Making of series doesn't spoil much at all if anything. They did a good job dodging things.

It occurred to me while watching that that's the first time I've ever heard the word 'c**t' used on a TV show before... Was kind of weird, especially considering the age of the character.
Really enjoying the show, my copy of the book is in the post and I'm hoping to finish that before I finish watching the TV series
Edit: does anyone know how many episodes there will be in this series?

I'm not even sure what you're hinting at here, but whatever it is, stop it. Like people have already said dozens of times in this thread, this is a thread for the TV show, not the books. If you want to talk about, or even hint at, something from the books, then use the goddam spoiler tags.

Yes, Ned is his nickname.

The first season is 10 episodes.

+ Show Spoiler +If anyone here has watched gurren lagann, it reminds me of kamina. When it first happens youre pissed and think the show will only get worse, then somehow it becomes fucking incredible.

I enjoyed the second episode much more, the way the first one introduced so many characters just made it overwhelming for me. Now that there's an actual plot to grab onto, I'm looking forward to this series
