It did feel like they covered a lot in the first episode though, does anyone know how many episodes they're going to use to cover the first book? Definitely want to see more of the wolves as well ![]() They said 10 Episodes for the first book.

One episode per week isn't enough for me! On the Dire Wolves (iirc) - they so cute! I want one!

Also, very good-looking series, but it is a bit confusing trying to keep up with all the characters and their relationships to one another. There's a lot of praise in this thread but also tons of nerd whine, which just goes to show, be careful make your target audience nerds - they are wildly difficult to satisfy. It'll play a bigger role later in the series. Can't think of a way to go into detail without spoiling it. Just trust that the incest plays a role.

Yes the incest is rather a secondary concern - the much bigger problem is that the queen is betraying the king (other way round is socially acceptable) + Show Spoiler [BIG SPOILER] + and the real drama unfolds when you find out that the prince and the other kids of the royal family are all fathered by jaime lannister which results in no legitimate heir to the throne I was quite happy with the first episode - really tough to fit the whole book into a few hours. Still i hope for some more interaction with the wolfes as they are a huge sympathy factor and reflect the state of the stark family so well.

Found it quite interesting, and I must say I was upset when that guy pushed the 10 year old kid out of the window. WTF? What was their relationship anyways? Why was it such a big deal that the boy saw them having sex? + Show Spoiler + They are brother and sister, and the sister is the Queen.

Dinklage is perfect as Tyrion, and the guy who plays Jamie is fantasic as well. Two of my favorite characters were casted brilliantly. The 'white walkers' are the others. Not too much is known about them except that cold seems to emminate from them, their weapons are cold enough to shatter normal swords, they feed on the warm blood of living creatures, they reside north of the wall, and they have travelled south of the wall in the past only during the winter.
