I was pretty tough so i went down to the stream about 50 yards away and washed them off and then thats it. I never used anything else and let them air dry. [I had big yellow/brown scabs on them for a long time] How come i didnt get infection? I know very little about biology.. I mean i had massive amounts of dirt and sand in my wounds and surely the water wasnt super clean either... Are certain people immune to most infections? How does it work? Temperature, hot and moist etc. Bacterial culture in the region and remember that they were on a battlefield meaning, flies, shit, corpses, carrions and whatnot. Also in our time we get alot of vaccins in our young days. Our immune system is alot better because of our varied food types we easily can eat today (meat, salad, corn, potatoes, vitamins, minerals etc etc) BUT the easiest explanation is just that he got it because its a fantasy book and we need something to happen

wildlings are people north of the wall. the mountain tribes are people who reside outside in the region around the vale I thought that too but I definitely seem to remember them being referred to as wildlings by one of the Lannisters at one point, maybe I'm mistaken, or maybe it was intended as some kind of insult.

do note: this is not based on the books or has any solid foundation pure speculation.

Fuck do I love Game of Thrones. Could become better than firefly. Killing the main character is not the way to go though. Can't believe that happened.

The books came out in 1996, the series is still going strong and is one of the most popular fantasy series. I personally love the fact that anyone and everyone can die, rather than KNOWING that "There's no way he can die, hes the hero!" if I wanted that, I'd read Spiderman comics. Perhaps you didn't know that this is actually a novel turned into a screenplay similar to Lord of the Rings, its not some cheesy Hollywood producers choice about whether or not said character survives.

Catelyn is also starting to become irrelevant since Ned is dead, Littlefinger won't be pursuing her anytime soon, her "detective" work+ imprisonment of Tyrion is over, and Rob will be leading the Stark house. She also pales when compared to Dany/Cersei because those two both have great power and exercise it for personal gain while she can't even convince her sister to help her. Hopefully the finale changes things up a bit.

This, this, and a thousand times this. Personally, I love when movies and series break out from the Hollywood formula, and the "anyone can die"-trope is one of the best ways to up my suspense. This serie has now become truly great in my eyes.

Ho, can you make another one with the little movement Joffrey do before getting slapped ? Like talking, taking a pose and putting his arm on his sword and then turning a little bit to look at his dog. Because that's so irritating, and give you the opportunity to see how good joffrey's actor is while still giving another feeling to the slapping!

Tyrion and Dany+Drogo are the only ones that are also developed at this point so there's going to be a lack of a protagonist, in particular a Stark one. People keep saying the children are important but at this point I don't care about Sansa who is just a foil for Arya, Bran who basically served his purpose in the first episode, and Rob who is only just being developed the last episode or two. Jon and Arya are interesting but Jon is stuck on the damn wall and Arya is isolated in Kings Landing. Ahm.. I really get like 0 of your arguments: Who shall we care for because Ned is Dead?... The people that want to avenge him? Which would be the Stark-Children (pretty straight up). Snow (moral conflict - if he's smart he will shit on Honor, because all the examples he seems to get from people only show him, that honor leads to misery and nothing else). Why should Catelyn become irrelevant? Yeah, the detective story is over, all she has now is revenge on the family (which rules the Kingdom) that killed her husband, crippled one of her sons and has one of her daughters held as hostage... Her Sister being a crazy bitch also does not make her "boring/done", it makes her more interesting... Calling her powerless is also weird? Her Son, which is a little young for the Job, is leading an army of 20'000 men and seems to share her goals completly... She also seems to know tons of important people in the kingdom. Why exactly are Cersei and Dany more powerful (right at this moment)? None oft hem rules directly and none of them seems to have a bond as strong to her "allies/supporters" as catelyn. Characters that are actually not that important (ATM!) would be: Tyrion and Arya... They both lack the power/support/size or age to be truely important and mainly get/got pushed around for the majority of this show (till now). Honsetly, Sansa is actually more important than Arya at this moment...I'm sure these 3 will have their truly big moments, but atm? They had like 0 except Tyrion not getting killed...

Aghh this sucks since it's only 10 episodes per season, i thought the second season would be in 6-8 months from now.

I seriously havnt had that kind of reaction to a series or even a movie in a hell of a long time if ever, I was like "wow, Ned is seriously close to getting killed here, nar they cant kill the.................. WTF?" Cant wait to see how powerful Daenerys child is gonna be, Its mother is a Dragon queen or whatever, its father is the strongest warrior in all the land and it looks like it is going to be born in the mist of the death gods. Now that has to be the perfect reciepe to one powerful motherfucker. This is easily my favourite series of all time now, the setting is perfect, the story is perfect and nothing is ever certain. I mean who would of ever thought they would kill the main character off before the first season even finished? it takes a special kind of series to pull that shit off and this is certainly it.

One would assume HBO will broadcast the 2nd season on the same time-slot as season one, also starting in april '12. Earlier i find quite unlikely, if not next to impossible due to season 2 having not even been written completely. There is also the chance (though i find it not that likely) that HBO will broadcast it into the fall 12/13...but on the one hand, they have boardwalk empire for that, plus it would severely weaken their spring-programm. right now, drama-wise, they have: spring: game of thrones / treme summer: true blood (the summer segment is famously known as more or less significant weaker and less importan) fall: boardwalk empire / luck (startin in '11 (and gonna kick ass if i might add)
