I have no idea how the show will continue and I love it. the way they can and just kill people is so astounding to me.

Lack of proper fightscenes + crappy Shae choice make me sad. Also story unfolds too fast for me, too many things missing I don't really know how a person who hasn't read the books before can understand everything that is happening.

Everyone saw some healer/witch put a mat of herbs on his wound. Drogo is suddenly dying from an obviously insignificant wound, that should not pose a risk untended. He is dying from an insignificant wound being tended, however. Drogo's bodyguard even said he believes the witch was the reason he's dying. Lets ignore all that. Instead, it's just an unrealistic infection. Unrealistic? People died in those times of "insignificant" cuts. I haven't read the books so I dunno if the witch had something to do with the whole thing. (Can't spoil what I haven't read yet ) but I don't find it hard to believe that a cut to the chest led to a lethal infection, the only cure they had in the middle ages to a festering infection was to cut off limbs. ![]() If they later show that the witch was the evil one all along... Well I guess I won't be surprised either. This episode though... Wow. This is ridiculously good stuff, I had shivers all along looking at the time not wanting this to end.

best show i've seen in a long time if not ever, and i'm extremely tempted to read the books. i'm not much of a reader either, but i want to know the whole of what's been actually happening since i know they must have cut out a ton of stuff due to time restraints. it's really funny how after i settled down from ed dying that i realized how good the story was and how involved it got me. people actually don't have plot armor and that is something i've never experienced in a tv show.

I only find it hard to follow a timeline, but the actual events are fairly easy to follow. I've started reading the book but am still someways just slowly catching up. I will say this though... While reading is complementing very nicely, it's making me appreciate the screenplay writing all that much more, and I have to say... I'm a little sorry for those who have read the books, since not knowing what is coming is one hell of a ride <.<. I'll probably be in your boat when they take a break till next season though. ![]() However your comment makes me almost want to pace myself with other books... Since in a way... I kinda don't want to be the guy who looks at this masterpiece of television and says that the best scene was seeing Lord Frey or arguing about what actress they chose for Shae. ![]()

I've seen people - both in films and real life - suffering from much, much bigger wounds and they still live, yet the almighty Khal Drogo is dying due to a freaking small cut near his shoulder? What on earth is this? Even when it festered, it can only make the guy ill at most, not killing him. WTF. Not sure if serious....... Without antibiotics and proper medicine a wound like that can be very dangerous if it leads to an infection. It was very common to die like that back then. It doesn't matter how much of a badass you are, an infection is still an infection - and it can easily kill you if not treated.

Is that really such a big deal? :/ Not so much, except in the grand scheme of things. It was thought that dany is the last Targaryen in the world, but she isn't because Aemon is alive. However, it doesn't really matter because Aemon is so old he will be dead soon.
