Nah people will get over it there just going through the process of grieving lol. Sean Bean is a great actor and all but I cant believe how many people in those comments view his departure as a deal breaker. Especially when we have so many other great performances on the show.

HBO did it wonderfully. Even though I've read the books, for a moment I forgot what was going to happen and I thought someone somewhere would save Ned. They captured the chaos and shock better than any other show I've seen. Major props to HBO.

too. Also who is the guy who Ned talks to after see Arya ontop of the statue and shields Arya's eyes from the gruesome beheading? He seems to be from the watch judging from his black armor.

The Daenerys scene and Jorah kicking ass was awesome and those screams were pretty spooky. Funny stuff too with Robbs reactions to the deal made with Lord Frey. The death of Ned was too. His job with the nights watch is to travel to major cities and get new recruits from the dungeons for the wall. He's shown in an earlier episode warning Ned about the upcoming shitstorm because he was present when catelyn took Tyrion and is close with Ned's relative Benjen (Jon's missing uncle at the wall). So basically he's a night's watch guy that is helpful to the starks.

I kept telling myself that I know there won't be happy endings in this show but I still really didn't want ned to die ;( Also drogo (sp?) is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. Hope he pulls through and isn't all screwed up from the blood magic. Also - WHY is there animals being killed in every episode? D: Actually this episode showed us two animal deaths :D (poor little pidgeon)

Not only was it well done dramatically, but his monologue that made the connection with/foreshadowed Ned's "confession" at the end was so powerful. another excellent cast! Oh yes! I loved that as well. I think if I were to describe this episode through a song, "What is Love" would be fitting. Tyrion as well! With his whole story and all. Just a few select lyrics: What is love, baby don't hurt me, don't hurt me, no more
