There's still a few bastards running around I'd bet, Gendry might still be alive too. They could be legitimized. Also, afaik it's not for sure that Stannis "Turn the snow into water; burn your own daughter" Baratheon won't find some way to take a different wife and get new, legitimate kids.

Everyone's ignoring posts relating to greyscale because (apparently) the show writers are just ignoring his greyscale too.

Davos is going to be pissed. Snapping and trying to kill either Melisandre or Stannis pissed. Probably the former, being defend by the latter and probably ending up getting killed by him.
I thought they'd use Shireen just to get some blood or something, wasn't expecting a full blown pyre. Whatever magic comes out of that better be good.

Perhaps Varys arrives to save them both with tales of cures for stoneskin from his whispers?

(which eventually spreads across your entire body) or just touch any part of someone who has been infected.
I'm willing to bet its the 2nd option in which case Dany is fine.

To those you who say Stannis was driven to sacrifice his daughter out of ambition: I don't think that's the case. Stannis is not a man of ambition, but of strict rules, order and duty. He never wished to be king, but when Robert died and Joffrey turned out not to be his son, Stannis became the rightful king. He now sees it as his duty to fulfill that role and claim the iron throne, even if it means great personal sacrifice like having to kill his brother and daughter. Stannis didn't ask for this and he finds no joy in it.

meh i'm like 99% sure now that there is a dormant state for greyscale or at least a window where it isn't contagious

It must be manageable in some way as they treated stannis daughter. It's probably a direct contact thing, kind of like a wart or something maybe?

I figured that you'd have to touch the actual skin that is infected/affected by the greyscale.

Targarian + greyscale = dragon (heard it here first).

Well. It took 49 episodes for this show to go full retard. Good run.

Never even got the idea that this could have transfered the desease. If one simple contact with the unaffected skin would transmit the desease it would spread like wildfire and almost everyone on that world would be afflicted with it by now.

Suddenly like 1/3 of the people watching pull their big ass mask from their arse along with a dagger and just overpower the few unsullied that Dany bothered to bring along. No one seems to care that again some of the scenes were really poorly done and the acting at times questionable. The show has had imo really good and steady quality but they have really dropped the ball on the latter half of this season. Stannis burning his kid was shocking enough that no one noticed i guess. This season has had the most face palm moments of any, especially everything involving Jamie in Dorne. I still like the show overall but this season has wavered my previously thought, unmoving devotion to the show. Depending on how this season wraps up and the first few next season, I can see myself abandoning the show and just going to read the books like I did with Walking Dead.

So anyone else disappointed with how underwhelming the dragon was? Yes it's young and small but still that was some weak ass shit

it would be more boring if they made it unkillable. dragons are just like other animals, just bigger, can fly and breathes fire.
|
Indeed, but I do feel like they went too deep into the killable end of the scale. Or rather that it stopped breathing fire and killing people once it tanked two spears

This was pretty much the worst game of thrones episode I have ever seen. And I've seen them dozens.

i was assuming it didnt spread like that, i dont know why he would save her and then doom her anyways, unless he is some kind of psychopath that wants her to suffer the same disease he is.
and also, the whole colliseum scene was stupid, the dragon was stupid, the extra actors were stupid AND THE FIRE SPECIAL EFFECTS WERE PATHETIC. I laughed when the dragon burned the people with some weird fire animation while the freaking sand just lay there, not moving, not turning to glass. It looked really stupid. Like a Angry Joe review where he copied some fire into the video
