I'm just think he's a lot more interesting like this. He used to be a coward who banged his cousin. Now he's crazy, but at least he grew some balls.

Even at the time, when Jaime's character was a little less multidimensional and more painted as just being a bad guy - I did not interpret it this way. I took it more as "holy shit, this guy is dangerous and unpredictable".
Your analysis was awesome though.

Is Lancel now the de-facto-heir to Lannisters and their properties/land? I understand Jaime is ineligible because he's a kingsguard, Cersei as woman will be overgone in favor of men (?), and while this might make Tommen the heir, I suspect he will rule as a king and name a "careholder" which should be the next person in the line, i.e. Lancels father and then Lancel himself.
Also, should Tommen and Myrcella die, nobody should have any legitimate reason to dispute Stannis' claim to the throne (even though I dont see Cersei, Jaime, and maybe even the Tyrells accepting this at all)?!

I think its tywins brother, the guy who told cersei to shove it at the small council meeting.

I was expecting something comparable to the hammer scene in Old Boy where he just cuts through them in a super brutal and efficient way and comes out the other side not even having slowed down. It's really disappointing honestly.

Unsullied armor is garbage, but their shields and spears are fine. Spears actually aren't terrible in close quarters since you can just move your grip up closer to the point, particularly if you ditch the shield and two hand it. Their shields aren't that small - larger than a buckler and they look around the size of a typical viking shield. My only complaint there is that the shield are probably too small to warrant strapping to the arm, but that may be related to fighting in phalanx formation.
They lost the fight because they were ambushed and outnumbered by a group who knew the terrain better than them. Not because spears suck or Dany screwed up somehow.

I suspect that the Harpies who ambushed them were also former pit fighters. Given that the scene was preceded by lobbying to reopen the fighting pits, I believe that is the implication that D&D want us to make, which makes the scene more believable. In any event, we shouldn't assume that these people are unskilled.

There was a couple of scenes where they talked while being naked as far as I remember. You don't get to actually see it though, its just heavily implied.
Funny how he's been in all the seasons so far, doing one thing or another. But only just now do I actually notice him as a character
edit: Oh, he actually wasn't there in season 3 and 4. No wonder I had forgotten about him

I don't believe for a second that someone dies in this series if we haven't been shown a corpse. They're really fond of showing every character killed in some brutal way after all.

Hound sipping martinis with Gendry, Syrio Forel, and that dude who had to piss during the Red Wedding.
