The first 4 seasons were great, but the deeper the relationship and emotional drama gets the lamer the show is. Not digging the deb/dexter interaction this season at all, and the antagonist isn't very interesting. I'm pretty sure the actor is the same guy from Rome. Loved his acting there but not so much as this character. Oh well, we'll see where it goes.. gonna keep watching since I've gone this far aleady. it's alrdy recovered from season 5/6 this is 10 times better and deb walking in on that kill was very believable

She has her moments. She's not a terrible actor but there are times where it's actually a bit cringe-worthy watching her deliver a line. It's not even her acting that bugs me... It's the character. Bores the fucking shit out of me, never before have I rooted so hard for a bad guy to kill a main character. Dammit Dexter, why couldn't you have been like 10 minutes late to that house, just let the bull guy kill her T.T Shall I introduce you to Lori from The Walking Dead? Margaret from Boardwalk Empire? Ugh stopped watching that show cuz of that character.
Well, you are missing out.

Loved the last episode. I find not watching the preview for the next episode makes it better / so much more surprising.

1) If I was the bartender I would have tried to shoot the boss guy. No one else visibly armed.. and if you kill him and the other two then no one knows it was you. 2) I really hope the boss dude is a homicidial homosexual. Need some more variation in our gay men on tv. 3) You guys hate on deb too much

It was a fucking badly done scene. In reality, no one is going to be retarded enough to kill themselves for their family under the promise of college scholarships. Secondly, if the mafia guys were so smart they'd have seen it coming a mile away that such a stunt would never be able to fool the police.

They told him if he didn't shoot himself they would just kill him.... he had no other choice. Either they kill him on the spot and his family gets nothing, or he shoots himself in hopes they have enough honor to keep their word for him doing them a favor.

If some dudes make you choose between dying and dying and then hand you a loaded gun what would you do?

No. I'm sorry. But no. Just no. No. No. NO. It wasn't a badly done scene. He had no choice. It doesnt matter if he wanted to do it or if he actually thought he would get the money for his kids. He knew once they told him to do it that it was either him doing it or them doing it for him. He took the honorable way out.

It's because all the main characters in these shows are involved in criminal enterprises and their female counterparts serve as an impediment to their routine. So the main reason that these female characters are disliked is because the stop the main characters from doing what they do best, which irritates the viewers. I must be different, I mostly like the females (not Margaret though). But how can one dislike Skylar? She is the most sane person in all of Breaking Bad. While the main character (Walter) is an insane asshole. I always want him to fail / be put in jail.
Same with Dexter actually. I would like him to be stopped as he is a danger for everyone around him including his son. He already got his wife, a fellow police officer and a few other innocent people killed.

Bu Dexter also saved dozens of innocent people by killing the bad guys...

Keep in mind the explicit threat - kill yourself and your kids go to college. Don't kill yourself and we will, plus we kill your family since we own Kursk. He really had no choice there and grasped at the one thing he thought he could save his family with - there's no guarantee that his family will be cared for, only the hope that was offered.
And to the guy above who thinks it's the same actor as in Rome? Um....no. They have similar colour hair but that's about it. Michael C. Hall was in Six Feet Under and has been in US TV for about ten years now, Kevin McKidd is Scottish, did Rome but also a number of films including Dog Soldiers (awesome!), Brave and Kingdom of Heaven. Apparently also on Grey's Anatomy, according to IMDB. That's a shame.

He isn't truly responsible for Doake's death. Doakes made the mistake of getting too close and not leaving him alone. Rita I give you, though he had it planned out in the end. He didn't account for errors in his master plan though.
Dexter's time is coming to an end I'm sure. They ran the course of how some people have to deal with their demons, and whether or not you can save/stop/reconcile yourself. Dexter still isn't a bad guy and wouldn't intentionally hurt/kill anyone, but what he does does not cast a good shadow on him.

Holy shit that prison scene, it was insane. I can't really think of a good reason for Isaak to be released from prison, there is hard evidence, unless of course it mysteriously disappears before the trial. With his already established persona as the Terminator, he needs to escape from jail. Now that would be something. The show better be more Isaak and less Hannah.

I like how Isaac was like "spatter (not splatter)" last episode, and this episode he says his great uncle was "hung" (as opposed to the grammatically correct "hanged").

I think that was grammatically correct. They hanged him. He was hung. (Not "he was hanged")

Great they got rid of the best part of this season. Hope he is able to fuck with dexter some more even if hes in prison. Not liking where this hannah shit is going. Shes hot though.

Him and Hannah being hot is all thats really kept me going so far. Hopefully they have completely laid to rest the whole Deb trying to change him or control it shit, that was just stupid and boring as shit to me. Best case scenario for me right now, next episode Isaak some how gets the court to throw his case out and manages to kill Deb. Which of course would cause Dexter to go on a rampage and temporarily lose his sanity(Come on return of his brother as a conscious!!!)

They won't kill deb in s7. It's just not going to happen. She's too integral to the show. Could happen in s8, maybe.
I'm guessing isaak is going to get out of prison somehow. Obviously it's intended for him to still be going after dexter.
By the way, does anyone else think it's kind of weird that Dexter and Isaak talked so openly in the middle of a jail? Or is it normal for conversations between the glass not to be monitored at all??

Cool episode. I wonder what Batista's gonna do - he's always seemed like he feels he's got nothing to lose and go a bit vigilante

And yea that seemed a touch weird to me as well. Openly talking in a jail like that, I mean does no one that works there find it the least bit strange Dexter is even talking to him? Let alone if one of the guards around happened to hear even parts of the conversation etc. Just doesn't sound like a very well thought out scene to me.
