Poll: What do you think about Maria LaGuerta? I just wish she would die a humiliating death and never be mentioned afterwards again. (74) I hate her guts, and I love to hate her. (4) I don't care. (3) I don't like here, but it's okay. (2) Interesting character, thumbs up! (1) 84 total votes Your vote: What do you think about Maria LaGuerta? (Vote): Interesting character, thumbs up! I've always wondered if I'm the only one who wants this character gone.

The thing that really bothered me about it was not that Dexter went "dark", or that it was over-the-top -- but that there was a general stupidity about the whole thing which is so, so, so uncharacteristic of Dexter. If he had killed Trinity's son, it would be so obvious to so many people -- Debra most of all. Dexter can never be that stupid even on his worst days, or I'm completely missing something. The whole bang the cashier lady and shooting street signs was fine. That I can understand. But that Dexter would even be stupid enough to take that vacation time in the first place -- just to murder someone he has a definite, verifiable connection to.... just, no. That's not Dexte -- he is crazy, but he is not a complete and utter moron. He lets the kid go because he feels sorry for him, but he should of let the kid go because he realized he was about to create a plot-hole the size of a barn-door.

I'm pretty sure she never actually heard Gellar I don't know, this part seemed really fishy to me. I don't remember what she said exactly, but I do remember it made me question the hallucination theory twice. One of the things was when she was describing how "they" were making her drink blood. a) it would be hard for Travis to manage to do it only himself, and in my opinion most importantly b) even if blindfolded, I'm sure she would recognize whether there were two men present and "taking care" of her or just one. Dont you think? However, in my opinion the dexter crew just didn't think b) through and the hallucination theory is indeed true, as everything so far confirms it (Gellar never interacting with other people, showing up at Travis' sister's flat, pushing Travis' leg to hit the couple...). There's one thing I wonder about though - who from Dexter's friends and how will be endangered by Travis? Season 1 - Debra Season 2 - Cody+Astor and Dokes (I guess not really friend, but still ![]() Season 3 - Dexter himself Season 4 - Rita Season 5 - Lumen Season 6 - ??? I have no idea

Dexter had sex with some chick, but this was only to get a gun. The real question is why did he need a gun? Plates didn't matter because it was a rented car presumably with a false alias. People complain about the gun shooting sequence, but I think this was just Dexter letting off steam from everything that went on with Brother Sam and how he let go of his light by killing Nick. He was acting out; although, in a pretty suicidal fashion (surprised that literally no one saw/heard this happening). Also, sparing Jonah is completely in his character as he understands Jonah's reason for killing mother and felt it reasonable. Now my real question, which no one has seemed to point out...how the hell did dexter grab a pitch fork and stab the guy before the owner could even pull the trigger on the gun that was pointed right at dexter. Finally, the idea of Fight Club remains a possibility, and could have been hinted at by Dexter's brother doing physical things.

This season is great, only behind season 4 imo and I've seen a lot of people say its the best season so far. Not sure how you can't like this season. Noticed this as well. Two ways of explaining it are a) It was completely random. Seems pretty plausible. b) Dexter somehow caught a scent of teh w33d and subconsciously led his own way there.

Not sure how you can't like this season. ever been on the back roads in the middle of the country? theres no one to see or hear whats happening. From what I gather there are different things people like about Dexter. There are those who think season 1/2 were by far the best, and those who love season 4, but don't like season 2. I feel like those who like 1/4 as the best are way more lenient with how rest of the show pans out. The writing and overarching plot with 1/2 were WAY better than every other season. Season 4 felt almost forced at the end on top of which (iirc?) they never actually revealed Debra confronting Dexter about his real brother/mother when she found out, and we are left to assume all the way until this season where she mentions him being related to Brian in passing. Quite bullshit. Season 3 sucked, no one ever argues that. Season 4 felt very tryhard and like they tried forcing a crazy plot with an insane ending, but I didn't feel the writing was really there with it as it was with 1/2. It was still good, but not as good as 1/2 imo. Season 5 was alright. I would put it behind 4 because it was very lackluster. I feel like you could skip from 4 to 6 and really not be missing anything to substantive since it comes full circle basically. This season started off real strong, but this last episode to me served literally no purpose. I just don't get where they are trying to go, and this painfully obvious geller = hallucination thing seems a bit meh. I just don't see why Dexter did certain things so far if not just to make the show last longer. He caught Trevor, but didn't punish him for what reason? He let him go because geller was the "real" bad guy, which feels like its just forcing the plot element of Geller being inside his head and Dexter just fucking up, or why would Dexter let him go? It makes no sense. I really got my hopes up that this episode would do some cool stuff, but instead its a closed loop unnecessary episode. Brian is gone, Jonah didn't matter at all, Dexter is back in miami. The plot has not advanced at all. If you leave out the last 30 seconds of the previous episode and ignore this episode I feel like you would not be missing any element to the overall season. But at least Dexter shot a street sign, right?
