Lumen was attractive as a person sure but as characters neither held any interest for me. Debra is a and an interesting character with realistic flaws. Also she's like 40 times hotter than anyone else on the show (Not that there are any other hot actresses aside from the aforementioned).

Also I don't have anything else to say until everyone who waited has seen the premier {edit- so I will argue about the character being attractive or not}.

I think if Jennifer Carpenter gained a few pounds then her big head and wide jaw would be in better proportion to the rest of her body. Also, her elbows are too pointy. I'd hit it, but only if I were drunk.

+ Show Spoiler + some pretty funny bits in there. overall a fairly light hearted episode to start. i fear for the show that it may become formulaic - quinn evolving into the next doakes, colin hanks as a boring villain (i am not sold on him as an actor, though i hope he proves me wrong), etc etc. and i surely as hell hope there won't be dexter monologues all season long debating about religion, how harrison will now grow up with it, how he'll cope with all that he's done and reconcile with the One True God, etc etc, fuck no.

Yea sure. But i'm happy with how it is too.

+ Show Spoiler + I honestly don't see Dexter repenting quitting his work for religious reasons. Dexter is trying to keep an open mind for his son. Dexter even thinks himself that religion is ridiculous and doesn't make any sense. Religion is a new avenue for Dexter as well since he wasn't raised with it as a thought in his mind. Dexter is always looking for new knowledge to make himself better at what he does.

Going into season 5, I was sure Quinn would be exactly like Doakes. Luddy did make for an interesting substitute though. Quinn is done worrying about Dexter imo. He knows theres something off about him, but he probably doesn't care anymore. He has Deb, and Dexter saved his ass at the end of season 5. The only way he will go back to his old self is when Deb starts to put things together and then ask Quinn about it. Edit: Season starts tomorrow, get hyped!

Very interested as to how this will play out. They introduced the main villain so quickly too. I like this season's theme. Dexter gets to explore something he never put much thought into.
