It's not about religion. It's about Dexter finding himself and something to believe in beyond just being his murderous self, and the killers reflect some sort of lesson for him to learn in that regard. Harry's Code is going to be just as important as any religious implications this season.

Anyone else noticed that Rita was not shown a single time when the first 5 episodes were recapped at the beginning?
They showed his former friend, his kids, Ritas murderer etc but avoided to show Ritas face.

I really wonder why, is it contract issues or is it to not upset people about her being gone?

Don't think it's the big of an issue since she is mentioned several times during the first episode..

Oh wow, I didn't even realize it was a leak lol. Well I just watched it, I think that was probably the best first episode since s1/s2. It was way more reminiscent of s1 because it was a very slow paced while a few of the others ones just try to hit the ground running and end up having too much to work with. This season seems like its going to be good, but I guess we can only wait and see.

Definitely some great comedic moments in episode 1 though.

Great episode. I wish Deb would get replaced with CarrotTop or something, would be considered an upgrade since shes neither likeable attractive or good at acting.

I didn't find her as repulsive this episode, while generally I cannot tell if her character is supposed to come off as that annoying/bad acting or if its herself who does it to the character. Upon reading the books I am inclined to think its the fault of her though, since in the books she doesn't really come off as loud/inept, just very crass.
