I sure hope police doesn't work like that in real life.
there's no evidence tying Quinn as a suspect. obviously he's involved, but he was held for questioning, not arrested as a suspect. I sure hope police DOES work like this in real life. he shouldn't be required to prove his innocence when they can't prove he's guilty, especially since he's not.
|
that is what internal affairs does, but Dexter being the blood expert he is, could've easily sabotaged the blood evidence and given it to IA, and even if there was no blood, investigating the leads: (1) as someone already pointed out, the person checking out the equipment could've easily identified liddy as the person who did do it. what other leads were there?
|
meh.. unlike a lot of you, i really liked this season (cept for the finale.. that was kind of shitty for sure. but the deb part in the cabin was INTENSE)
|
@eggs/deisel
No, but he has to explain what happened there and I would prefer to _hear_ his statement instead of just guessing what he COULD HAVE said.
I'm not sure if I made myself clear, but what I meant by "I sure hope police doesn't work like that in real life" is that people who are that close to a suspect (Quinn is OBVIOUSLY a suspect after his behaviour at the crime scene) shouldn't investigate on that case.
As for the other leads: Quinn's fingerprints are on the van, Liddy called him minutes before he died and Quinn has no alibi for that time, because he actually was at the crime scene AND he refuses to answer any questions.
|
ok as for leads, i dont recall them actually saying quinns fingerprints were on the van. quinn already explained why liddy called him. and when you know you're involved in something you NEVER say anything.. ( from personal experience, as a juvenile, my public defender always said, never answer or say anything about what the person is asking you. always say or ask if i can speak to my lawyer, a judge can never convict you guilty based on those terms, because it is your right) i know im getting super personal but its plausible in a TV show. and its plausible that quinn knows these rules.
|
lol jordan could've said something awesome and insightful, instead he looks like a pathetic baby trying to save his life tons of cool shit that could happen and the show decides to do nothing aka BORING. Dexter is still Dexter but by far the worst season, and finale. Pretty much a shitty filler. Also the kids are BACK? PLEASE TRAIN THEM TO KILL NEXT SEASON.

The Walking Dead, awsome show, you should really watch in to it

The finale was terrible.....
|
Very good season in my opinion, the finale was just bad, thats all.
|
Season was much better watching every episode in one sitting today, but I have some gripes with + Show Spoiler +emily birch, the glad wrap/dentist killing, quinn/liddy storyline at times.
Now begins the wait until Game of Thrones, which will keep me going till Breaking bad s4, which should keep me going until dexter season 6

Whoever says that the books are more realistic most likely hasn't read the one where there are demons in it.

I really liked the core of this season, but the finale didn't really wow me much, the deb, dexter and luman scene in the camp was pretty sick, but apart from that it never really felt that amazing.

They have been building towards it for a while, and if she finds that Lumen is the vigilante she will likely forgive her because of what she's been through and what Jordan and his posse deserved. Its also possible that If she does find out, she will want Lumen to leave town, which would be one way of writing her out of the show. If she learns about Dexter though, I can't imagine him telling her everything including the Bay Harbor Butcher thing, cause I don't see her forgiving him for framing Doakes (who was a good cop). The dynamic is different from the novels. Yeah, I'm wondering how they're going to write Lumen out. I'm not sure if I would like her around more permanently. I like the character now and what she brings, but I think ultimately I would want Dexter to have someone like Rita to bring him into the light. If Lumen and Dexter get together permanently then she would be too much of an enabler. I'm definitely cheering for Dexter to become "human." It's possible she just decides to go back to Minnesota. They've never really fully explained why she ran away in the first place and they spent decent enough time talking about it that it seems unlikely it won't come back up. Didn't she run away because of that whole wedding incident? What happened there? I don't really remember lumen just says she wasn't ready to settle down as a married woman, so she took a trip to miami to be free, but ironically was captured by the jordan chase rape group. there wasn't a whole lot of detail to it. owen shows up in episode 8 if you care enough to comb it for more details, but im pretty sure she doesn't say much about it. yeah that's what I thought happened. It seems kind of like they introduced that story just so she could have a reason to leave the show. The emphasis has been on "seeing this through to the end." She just wants revenge on the people that raped her, I don't think she is much "like dexter." Even Dexter asked her to go home last episode. I just don't see this girl going around cutting up people with Dexter next season but maybe she could have a domestic role like Rita. She can be Mary Jane to Dexter's spiderman
Called it
btw it's funny reading comments like "I expected so much more from the finale." How long have you guys even been watching Dexter? The Finale is the same as EVERY other season. EVERY season ends with the main antagonist on Dexter's table --> Rudy, Lila, Miguel, Trinity, Jordan. EVERY season all of the new minor characters end up leaving the show, usually by dying or leaving. They haven't added a new recurring character since Quinn, and now maybe the babysitter. EVERY season gets completely wrapped up in the finale and they leave us with a happy moment. Rita and Dexter get engaged, Rita and Dexter get married, Rita and Dexter have a baby, Harrison's first birthday party. EVERY new season starts fresh, new characters, new plot, new everything.
The only exception is last season when Rita died, but beyond that, every season finale has been exactly the same, so why would you be expecting something different?

I liked the season as a whole. Finale was complete shit.
+ Show Spoiler +Ignoring the "cliffhanger" potential of Deb finding out the truth, Quinn getting exhonorated by one fudged blood test, Chase not checking Dex for a knife, Lumen's premature ejaculation of a killing of Chase..."everybody" being fucking happy at the end. Everything was too neat, too clean, too ignoring of all the fucked up shit of the season. Even Quinn...we know he isn't the cleanest cop around, but to ignore that he knows Dex is a killer? Bullshit.
Crap. Total crap.
|
The finale was really underwhelming, I thought they could have done so much better.
|
When does the next season start? p.s. the final episode was just the same as in the other seasons, don't know what you people were expecting and whine so much.
|
In regards to Quinn,
+ Show Spoiler +Well, Quinn and Dexter both want what is best for Deb. That's why Dexter saved Quinn. I also think that's why Quinn was able to overlook Dexter's killing of Liddy. Also Quinn didn't particularly like Liddy, as Liddy was going to blackmail him. Quinn could also determine from the pictures Liddy snapped that Lumen and him are the vigilantes. Deb has shown respect for them, so that's another reason he's probably fine with it.

edit: seems like you kinda answered your own question...because of last season=p
ya the finale was probably the worst dexter ep. in a long time...After this it seems like the show lost a lot of its appeal...anyone feel the same way? What I mean is that (to me at least), I'm not looking foward to future episodes nor do i care about dexter anymore...since to me it seems like they're just doing the same thing, season after season lol
