Release: 26 October 2015 (UK), 6 November 2015 (World)
Director: Sam Mendes (also did Skyfall) Starring: Daniel Craig, Christoph Waltz (main villain), Monica Bellucci (Bond girl)
Same SPECTRE as the one in the Connery films, updated for the 21st century.
Plot:
In the aftermath of Raoul Silva's attack on MI6, a cryptic message sets in motion events that will see James Bond come face-to-face with the sinister organisation known as SPECTRE. While Gareth Mallory, the newly appointed M, continues fighting political pressures that threaten the future of MI6, Bond discovers that the only way to unravel the web of conspiracy is to protect the innocent daughter of a powerful enemy. Following a trail from Mexico to Austria and Morocco, he is forced to operate outside his purview as he is drawn into a confrontation with an enemy from his past.
Mr. White is also supposed to return after being absent in Skyfall.
Bond Girl:
Monica Bellucci also joined the cast as Lucia Sciarra, becoming the oldest actor to be cast as a "Bond girl" at the age of fifty.
So probably a direct sequel to Skyfall, much like Quantum of Solace was to Casino Royale. The ending of Skyfall did set up the new M and Q. I have high hopes, judging by how well Sam Mendes did Skyfall, and some of his other movies like Jarhead and Kite Runner. Quantum went a bit too far but it was a sequel done with a new director, and I felt like a lot of what it lacked is how it didn't really connect well with Casino Royale. That shouldn't be a problem with Skyfall and Spectre.
As for Belucci, she looks half her age in all her photos, I would've never guessed she's 50.
So Craig's back for his fourth movie. What do you guys think?

i bet andrew scott is the real villain in spectre, there are some clues in the trailer

Ok, that new preview actually makes it look pretty good. Wasn't too hyped about this movie after skyfall, but this looks like it will be more about 'spy shit' and less about abandonment issues. Also...

Don't like Daniel Craig as an actor doesn't have the Bond voice i grew up with xD So no was just another reason not to watch, after hearing the poor script too.

 not even trying to watch Casino Royale, which is considerably better than all but one of Brosnan's bond films, is crazy

 not even trying to watch Casino Royale, which is considerably better than all but one of Brosnan's bond films, is crazy Hell I'd put Casino Royale above Goldeneye I think the Craig films are categorically better than the Brosnan films, but I can definitely understand the sentiment that Craig doesn't carry the same air as previous Bonds. It probably works fine with the darker, more serious tone that the films have shifted toward, but Craig doesn't feel suited to deliver the witty innuendo and dry comebacks that you'd come to expect from the older Bond films.
Neither Brosnan nor Craig live up to Connery Bond, sadly.

However they then rebooted it with an actor who didn't deserve the roll with arguably the best scripts and right direction for him still to be an utter douche about it personally. Hell the last 12 months of PR about this he has made subtle digs at Mike Meyers saying he is the reason 007 has a bad name xD This movie i dont think will be as widely praised as the previous in Skyfall but it will continue the darker and more human story lines to achieve success. Just can't wait until they put an actor in who deserves it He isn't completely wrong, the last three Brosnan movies all were released in the same year as an Austin Powers movie, and you can't really do the same kind of schtick when there's another movie released simultaneously making fun of it.
It's like having your favorite artist release single after single and each time, six weeks later, Weird Al comes out with a parody cover that charts higher than the original single.
I like the way the Craig movies built up the cast with the introductions of the new M, Moneypenny, and Q. Reminds me a lot of the Star Trek reboot. Craig's an ass, but he also portrays the ass well on screen. Reminds me of how they made Dalton a kind of "I'm too tired for this shit" character, whereas with Craig it's the opposite, he was tired to begin with.
The one thing that does piss me off is how they keep doing the "leave MI6" thing every movie. Great, Bond isn't best friends with the people in the organization, and it gives him a lot more freedom to do what he does, but it's getting to the point where it all starts to feel too familiar.

Neither Brosnan nor Craig live up to Connery Bond, sadly. I don't know, Craig does live up to book Bond really nicely. I love Connery, but looking back after 50 years, some of it feels a bit too stilted and suave to make the "danger" part of the movies work.

I mean, I feel like that's part of the charm--that the movies didn't take themselves too seriously and were intentionally over-the-top at times--which is why the premise of the Austin Powers films never really clicked with me; what's the point of making fun of something that's already deliberately not taking itself seriously?
The darker nature of the newer films let them be great movies in their own right, but at the same time they don't quite feel as "Bond" in some respects.

Shit, Casino Royale is a contender for one of the best Bond films ever, alongside most of Connery's films.

I think Craig has the character to pull that kind of thing off.
