Helps drive the idea that he wasn't just getting smoked by Naruto this whole time in terms of power, and seeing their combination was pretty sick too. If this ends up being the final blow - I shouldn't jinx it but - it was pretty sudden. I feel a bit relieved at that thought though, it means we're finally moving somewhere plot-wise. We'll see. | ||

With Jūgo's chakra supplied to Sasuke, a complete Susanoo enshrouds Naruto's Sage Mode Kurama. The Susanoo-covered Kurama wields only a sword. Kakashi is suddenly linked to Obito, and observes what is happening through Obito's eye. This link occurs at the moment Obito summons Rikudo's divine blade, Nunoboku. It is made out of dense black chakra and has a long DNA structure to it. Obito still wields the shield he summoned previously, made out of the same dense black chakra. He is unimpressed by Naruto and Sasuke's efforts. Obito says to look up and observe the moon, announcing that the dream world is nearly upon them. Obito announces that it is hopeless to try and defeat him now that he possesses Nunoboku. Obito continues and says that the blade contains the Rikudo Sage's very essence, and that he can feel his passion and intensity permeating through it. He also notes that the shinobi world was created by the blade. Naruto calls for his friends. Obito shouts that he will lay waste to the world with the very same blade that created it. Obito and Naruto + Sasuke charge towards each other. Kakashi observes that although Naruto is an idiot, he is fighting for a good cause, and everyone will rally behind that idiot to save the world with him. Kakashi states that the void Obito felt could be filled by the people around him if he came to accept them, but Obito is doomed to feel that void as long as he rejects the world. Naruto's 9 friends are summoned to each of Kurama's tails. Sage Chakra cloaks appear and grant them each a large rasengan. Kurama leaps forth, and Obito's shield is broken by the 9 rasengans. Naruto and Sasuke quickly attack through the opening, flying straight towards Obito with Susanoo's sword piercing forward. Obito attempts to stop Susanoo's sword with Nunoboku. Naruto and Obito stare intensely at each other. Obito is suddenly overcome with his old dreams of becoming Hokage. He imagines himself among his old comrades, his own face carved into the mountain alongside the previous Hokages, and his body dressed in Hokage attire. Obito wonders why he is thinking of this after staring down Naruto. Nunoboku shatters on impact with Susanoo's sword. The Susanoo-covered Kurama slices Obito in half, and Sage Chakra can be seen flaming off the strike that hit Obito. Kakashi ends the chapter by saying that you can endure and persevere with the bonds of friendship. Chapter 651 - End | ||

The "world" obviously is only meant to be the surrounding nations. All we ever got of a world is an area similar in size to japan + east china. While not original, it is possible that everything that happened after looking at the moon is already a genjutsu. We do not know who or how many people looked at it. Since this ending should be thought out long ago, it might actually be quite subtle. Obito imagining could be a sign that Madara somehow took over the genjutsu. Thoughts? | ||

Thoughts? it's possible but I doubt Kishi will go that route. It would be interesting if he put them under a genjutsu then they had to break out. Would definitely be credible imo considering they looked at the moon(or at least we did) that last chapter. We didn't see the flower open up though. Can only guess Madara will jump in soon enough since Obito looks like he's down for the count. | ||
