It's possible he'll just make a sequel or something entirely new (it's been over 10 years after all).
Standard practice for long running shounen series is for the creator to say "I intend to end it soon," or "things are coming to an end this year," and then for the manga to be drawn out for several more years. Kishimoto said years ago that Naruto was nearly over. Hell, I remember like 6-7 years ago Oda had said One Piece would be done within 2 years. A few years before that he was talking about how it was half way done, and OP has been going since 97 or 98. And wasn't Bleach supposed to end after Aizen was dealt with?
Anything that's just an explosive hit will be drawn out and milked as long as possible by their creators.
Edit: I might be misremembering the One Piece timeline by a few years.

This is getting beyond being ridiculous...
Why does such a panzy like him have to get Rikudos level of powers and likeness? It really ruined what could have been a somewhat enjoyable chapter...
Obito mind is just all about Rin.

Which makes perfect sense too. We don't know how much Kishi actually makes makes with Naruto but we know there's no guarantee that after Naruto he'll be able to capture the audience like he did with Naruto. With Naruto he's sure of a steady monetary income.

I don't get where Oda said One Piece will end by 2 years. Please link source.
Kishi said last year that this War arc will be the end. And frankly speaking. This War arc has been quite draggy.
One Piece, Naruto,Assassination Classroom are pretty much consistently dominating the top ranking of WSJ. So I don't see Kishi ending it soon although the story implies this battle will be the last.
Because the Juubi/Madara/Obito are pretty much already the last antagonist.

Naruto is a joke anyway, look again at this ark. It's a WTF every two chapters. The Sasuke Naruto rivalry in the last chapter feel so dirty (yeah the "I see naruto keep up with sasuke"). The more I look at Naruto, the more I feel like I've been trolled.

Maan,,, this fight sucks..

I didn't know that Assassination Classroom was that popuplar. Not surprising though, really enjoyable!

Certainly not.

I haven't read that yet but it's just behind Naruto in sales in Japan for 2013 atm. What surprised me are the sales of Magi labyrinth of magic and Kuroko, they trully are popular.

The random power-up aside (I've come to expect them at this point) there's just no real suspense. Kishi tries hard to leave us with a cliff hanger but I'm just not feeling it.

Yeah, the closest thing was Oda said was that he's "halfway" done with the series after some arc (I don't remember which). He also said he wants a 1000 chapters, so...

I don't remember the website I read it on, but there was an interview with oda, where he said that his original pla was that one piece should last about five years, but while he was writing it, he saw that it was going to take much longer Will edit it in if I find it ^^

Why haven't naruto and bee just turned into their tailed beast form for this fight. A TB bomb would have been pretty usefull earlier.

Does anyone have any idea why Naruto can now keep up with Sasuke? I have NO idea what is happening with the long arms in the first couple pages.

I think it was to make contact with Minato and Sasuke so that they can be teleported away from Obito's attack.

That seems pretty plausible, the art is super confusing though. Good job!

I don't get how Minato thinks even trying to stab Obito with kunai is going to do anything... even the second hokage's infinite explosive tags doesn't even dent him...

It took me three re-reads to realize it, don't worry.

I wonder what Kishi makes. Like is he rich and could retire if he wanted to? I wonder how much the top manga artists make. As for it almost being over....well whos left after this semi-god Obito plus Madara? Oro could I guess but even he seems underwhelming powerwise when you compare and his plan would have to be super master level genius to put everyone in a position where he wouldn't be rofl stomped.
