It's not because of the Gaara fight, it's the fact that I know where it is leading. Most likely, for the next 2 or 3 weeks, this fight will drag on and end with something silly. Then we will start to pick back up, and the same thing will happen. It's how the majority of the war arc has been, including some of the fights that involved Naruto.
And my second point was about how I haven't felt emotionally attached AT ALL for quite some time.
I hardly see that as whining as a little girl.. But if my not feeling attached anymore offended you in some sort of retarded way, then I sincerely apologize!!

This arc is severely lacking mainly because of the fights. There's no suspense in these fights at all. From the very moment the first resurrected ninja was sealed, you knew the rest of them would be sealed. For now, it's just going through the motions of how this ninja will be sealed.
Unlike Nagato or Zabuza, where you knew their motivations/backstory and why they're fighting, you have fights with "villains" that are telling you their moves and how to beat them. This leads back to Kabuto is controlling them, so they don't have any motivations of their own to begin with because they're already dead. You have fights with poorly flushed out characters. You are supposed to accept that these ninjas are awesome because they're famous or a Kage from some other land. This arc is basically Ninja All-Stars vs. the Allied Shinobi Forces.

I think it's just an opportunity to bring back a lot of the characters we haven't seen for a while and to show how badass they are.

Bringing back characters we haven't seen for awhile is all fine in good, it's when you bring back 10000 characters we never heard of that it becomes pointless and excessive.
