It would also allow the story to get back to addressing the original underlying themes of the series (overcoming loneliness, forging/reforging/maintaining bonds, etc). But, I guess herpity-derp-zap-you-with-a-lightning-bolt garbage is easier to write and more appealing to the Narutards that eat that shit up, so I'm not exactly holding my breath...

Wasn't he out of chakra a few chapters ago? Then it was back and good, now hes out again. How fast does he recharge? damn. At least things are happening.. kind of.

Nah he activated Sage mode not the kyubi's chakra.

Actually, he feeds it his regular chakra to pull out Kyuubi chakra right? So technically he ran out of the "balancing chakra" which is his own. In the end, if he abuses it, he will turn Kyuubi mode yet again as he cannot really control it as well as bee.
Technically, he shouldn't have anymore chakra to pull out Kyuubi Naruto mode and when it came to sage mode, he should technically have some lead time to charge up right and not immediately just conjure it up like his battle with Pain so that part didn't make sense to me as well.
He never left a clone to charge up on Sage Chakra anyway so it just sort of "disturbed" the idea behind the sage mode as something he needs to charge up to use.
Also, he keeps using Rasen Shuriken/Rasengan. As proof in the previous arcs, he shouldn't be able to throw out as much of those attacks as they take too much strain on his body. Anyway, just going with the flow anyway with how the writer did it since its his story but it is nonetheless flawed already.
Like Gaara is but lets not go into detail on that. =)

current arc - World War arc
They basically gotta beat Kabuto and seal all the zombies right now. Kabuto will either be defeated, or live and fuck up stuff later.
next arc - Naruto has to finish his destiny battle with Sasuke, not to mention fight either Madara or the Jubi as the final boss afterward, which will probably be another arc

Rasen Shuriken is only harmful to him when he has to face palm it with his hand into the other guy's face. When he is training the sage mode he practice ways of throwing it so his hand doesn't get friendly fire damage. Oh and Naruto has infinity Chakara because in sage mode he can keep gathering nature energy and use it to balance his own. so he can potentially throw as many rasen shuriken as he desires, only limitation is that he has to have one of his clones sitting on the side to concentrate on charging up nature energy. or, if he can use his lightning speed to run away from battle and sit still for a moment to charge up.
