We had the Naruto circle jerk a chapter ago, but those were all no-name zetsu clones... not previous Kages. Makes sense that we'd see a Gaara circle jerk chapter at some point, which means we can probably expect one for Kakashi as well before this is all over.
This seems like a logical final arc... I'd love to see some characters lose their plot armor before the end.
It's not the final. Kishi promised another time leap after the Great Ninja War. That's probably where Sasuke and Naruto will have their final clash against each other. After Madara dies, Sasuke will take all his eyes etc and be the great villain.

Well, I don't think it's that bad. It's more like saying he got his powers from a kekkai genkai rather than jinchuuriki I thought?

But its not a kekkai genkai, it was because he had the Shukaku inside him that he was so strong, and after it was extracted he maintained that strength (presumably through training, hardwork, and a strong will) . At this point we found out it was "mother's love" which also IIRC fuels Naruto.

But this BS of using water to counter Gaara comes from the last filler of the original Naruto anime(216-220 IIRC), I don't think water would really work.

"Naruto vs itachi" What do we see? repeat flashback filling 10 or so pages with some admittedly interesting Kage action and only 2 pages of itachi / Nagato
I liked this chapter. I enjoy Gaara's backstory. It needed the closure with his dad. My favorite part has to be Second Mizukage summoning a Shellder/Clamperl. Something about summoning a clam just made me think Pokemon. Incoming 2v2 match. Get hype!
