The voice actress for Twilight Sparkle was incredible, but I wasn't impressed by the sound in general. The Rainbow Dash voice actress needs a better mic :p I found the BGM annoying. It was too loud in comparison to the voices so it stopped being 'background' music. There was also too much of it for my tastes.
It was weird that they got permission from Hasbro to use the MLP characters but not from Cartoon Network for all the other characters. I presume they weren't explicitly told they couldn't use the Cartoon Network characters so either they didn't ask or Cartoon Network never answered.
The conclusion of the story, as far as I understood it: "Don't take stuff that isn't yours because it could have negative consequences for you." Erm... so as long as there are no negative consequences for you or your friends then it's fine to take stuff that belongs to other people?
The bad: -Too much Rainbow Dash, even for an episode centered around Rainbow Dash. -The animation was a bit off at times. Too much uniform motion in the smaller details, made it look floaty every now and then. -An important part of sound design is to learn when not to use background music. Every line of dialogue and even the smallest gestures were accompanied by a sound cue. It got really annoying towards the end. Especially the guitar. -While the voice acting was solid (took me a good while to notice Twilight wasn't played by Tara Strong), the writing itself was a bit unrefined at times, especially when used with M. Night Shamalamadingdong style slow pans for the sake of slow panning. -Everything can always be improved with Luna :3 -The plot made no sense whatsoever. Then again, that was probably the point.
The good: Pretty much everything else. Comparing this to the official episodes is like comparing Artosis to HerO. Just because the fomer is nowhere near as refined doesn't mean he's bad. It was an amateur production and for one it was really high quality. It was worth the time it lasted, and a couple of laughs were had in the process.
My god Double Rainboom is horrid. How could they ever think about trying to pass that sort of writing/story as show accurate? There's no conflict at all, the characters are shells of themselves, the dialogue is brutal. It seems like they just threw in as many references and fandom nods as possible without caring about the writing.
The worst line in particular was when Dash is at the edge of the atmosphere and just flat out says "(I can even do) a double rainboom!" There was a way they could have made it work, that wasn't it. I turned it off once I got to the PPG crossover.
The animation was fine, the VAs could have been worse, but the actual story & writing is worse than most random crossover fics on fimfiction.
But since then I read it and I liked it, though you describe environments a bit much in my opinion. Just a matter of personal taste, I know a lot of people like that. The fight part, however, was excellently written!
I legitimately enjoyed it. As others have said the Twilight VA was absolutely amazing. RD's wasn't QUITE as good but was fantastic nonetheless especially considering this is fan made. There was a lot of Rainbow Dash but I'd say thats partially because they didn't have VA's for Rarity, AJ etc. The really silent flyby, well I don't really blame em for it. Getting suitable VA's is probably really, really difficult :X.

Good job!
Thanks! I polished that sucker a million times before posting it. The version on Fimfiction is edited from the 19.5/20 one, with the prof's and my classmates' comments in mind.

I'm inclined to agree. To me the entire episode was merely a sequence of awkward encounters with some sort of weak underlying storyline.
I told my brother about it and watched it with him, afterwards we both agreed to pretend it had never happened.
