It's no real match for the silver age of modern cartoons, but it feels surprisingly familiar. It isn't as clever as the Tick, Earthworm Jim or Pinky and the Brain (who were intentionally modelled on popular news casters), as dirty minded as Johnny Bravo or as slapstick as Dexter's Laboratory when it had McCracken running it, but it's much better than the bulk of modern fare. What shocks me is that it's My Little Pony that has somehow spawned this series. Hrm. I suppose I'll have to keep watching when I have time. | ||
