Turns out that kid's a brony (saw a Rainbow Dash shirt on him in the pic), so I brought up ponies, convinced him to check the show out, and convinced him to read my fanfic. - Tastosis both brought up my MLP shirt when I approached them and said it was cool. The fact that they recognized what it was since it's a more subtle shirt says a lot. Possible closet bronies??? Pictures! + Show Spoiler [Operation: Flutter9] + No video yet; I want to see if he says something in an upcoming Daily first. He was grinning while I was talking to him and he was even slightly bouncing with excitement while I was talking to him. I think he was pretty moved from the whole thing. He told me he was interested in the show already and asked where he could find it, so I told him about this thread and Youtube. I also mentioned his 100th Daily and about the passion thing. I told him that it's what inspired me to go get that toy for him and give it to him; sharing my passion with others, just like he said. I also said I was ever hard of Day9 at the end. Oh, one of his initial reactions when I was talking about the show was "so is it time that I became a brony?". So epic. He even texted his friend to drop that gift in his hotel room so he wouldn't lose it and he glanced at the note. If it's really well-written (which I don't doubt that it'd be, especially since reading your fanfic), it might just have a chance to get spotlighted, despite ponies (or should I say due to ponies :p). That would be glorious. I'll believe it if they drop a 20% cooler reference or something that is unmistakably from MLP, until then I remain healthily skeptic. I know my physics teacher (back in HS) insisted that we needed to be able to do integrals in "ten seconds flat", so don't jump the gun people. | ||

If you hear people say something like "10 seconds flat" frequently, you will probably use it at some point, too, without any knowledge of the origins. | ||
