I imagine that there will be eventually in the future, i'd love a movie if they could come up with a good story for it, I loved the first Pokémon movie as a kid, a similar sort of one off epic story could fit well with the show.

You got 333 of 500 possible points.Your score: 67 % Fully approved brony It's obvious that you are a true fan of MLP:FiM. You know a lot of things about the series and you are a caring and loving person for the bronies around you. That’s great! But because this test has space for real Mega-Bronies, it is hard to reach full points. So there are still some small holes in your knowledge but you can survive that without any problems. The end of the quiz was damn difficult. Though I should have remembered the Pinkie Sense combo ![]()

Oh well, parasprites are always gonna be around. I just can't help but laugh when I hear people doing that. But I have never looked down on them or tried to really discourage anyone from what they enjoy. In the case of MLP many people are prone to casting judgement. Now hold up a bit before we go anywhere else and take a moment to consider how much we truly judge others. The idea that we can believe that we understand a situation by a glance and then enact our judgement which often comes in the form of retribution is just plain ridiculous, and yet it's very much a serious issue. I just love how by embracing the feminine as a real thing when its importance has been long forgotten. Alright good on that bit I think. Some people do get that turned off by ponies, at first glance there is already judgement. I was talking to a friend of mine on SC yesterday when he told me 'did you know TLO watches MLP?'. Of course I had a big grin on my face as I had seen it happen on our very thread. Anyways I told him a bit about the background of the show but he just said that he couldn't do ponies just because they were ponies. xD For myself, I had neither negative views nor predetermined judgments. I really just jumped on it the first chance I got I suppose. I'm sure I have seen ponies here and there on the internet but never anything I'd remembered. There was one very awesome piece of artwork for a past MLG or something of My Little Nony. Gods, even then I remember thinking hey this is pretty good I wonder if this guy does more stuff like this while being completely unaware of the fandom. Alas it would be this TL thread that introduced the show to me. When I saw that first picture I knew it was going to be surprisingly promising based off the art style that looked so familiar and reminiscent of Samurai Jack(which I have considered the best practice Jayson could ever have done before going into MLP). Naturally I whipped up Wikipedia after hearing Lauren Faust's name. Eeyup the entire team was all from shows I had loved and watched in my childhood. Hooray for Bronies!

All of that silly negative stigma the show gets is funny, though there's a pretty good reason for that. As I finally got around to post something here I might as well tell about the weirdness for me in getting into the show. Not on account of its image as a show for little girls, which i have no problem with (as long as they are actually good) but on the matter of fandom. I am notoriously not a fan of things, not that I don't really enjoy something but I was never into all the hype and surrounding things which makes up the actual fandom. I started out by seeing the thread on TL and since it was odd enough, I obviously had to read it. When I got so far to understand that people really enjoyed it I simply went to see the first episode (despite the advise against it, but I like seeing things in order). This worked out fine since I only had to get through the intro and up to Spike and Twilight to think that it was at least worth to keep watching. This is already a great start since I usually don't watch much TV as I prefer books and games over it. A few days later with a few more episodes watched I had decided to watch the rest of the show and was rather exited to watch more episodes. This is usually how far I go but already here I found myself thinking and being exited about these ponies rather a lot. The weird thing started around when I was about halfway through the first season and now I really enjoyed it so I saved the episodes to the end of the day. This meant the that I still had ponies on my mind when I got in bed so I kept lying there smiling, thinking happy thoughts ... and realizing that I should have been asleep several hours ago. Around this time I also had watched episode 11 so I found myself turning on songs from the show instead of other music. Later on the airing times for season 2 was announced and even though I was saving the episodes to make it last longer there was no way I could keep myself from watching all episodes well before that time. So I was wondering what i would do in the meantime (get some proper sleep? ... nah I ended up re-watching season 1 again) so I began going to different fansites looking up the history etc., something i previously only did for a few games. Somehow, perhaps some last resistance of fandom, kept me from Equestria Daily and it was one of the last places I visited but it really captured me. There was pictures, comics, music, videos and all other fan created entertainment. I eagerly began consuming this fan made content and there really are a lot of talented people out there and the volumes of content, oh I really do spend a good bit of time there now. When the season 2 arrived I simply had to tune in and watch it live, despite the laggy stream and all of the hub commercials. As a contrast it had never bothered me to watch VODs of Starcraftgames and often found it much more convenient. The most odd thing though happened a few days ago when I suddenly had an urge to draw a pony. Now this is really is weird since I don't like to draw. I did draw pictures when I was really small but I remember as early as around fifth grade when you had to draw in school and i really hated it. But here I was drawing something with at least some resemblance with a pony. So although I'm still a bit from some of the more crazy fans out there I have still gone much farther than what I ever had expected. So in contrast to a lot of people for which the large part was to realize why grown men likes a show about little ponies I had my experience in why there is so many crazy fans of the show. As a final remark I must say that the being a fan of this show really fits me since I always disliked some "grown up" attitude in what is good. That people seems to measure how good something is by means of their like originality and relevance and its closeness to some strange thing known as "art". Together with this there is also the idea of some features generally makes things bad, like for ponies the tags of "Girly" and "for children". Since in the end the only thing that really matters is how much you actually enjoy it. And I find this so important to realize that one don't need to find reasons to enjoy something, but rather to enjoying something because apparently you do.So although one very well might argue for My Little Pony's merits in other areas, I will not since it is enjoyment that matters and here the ponies really do deliver!

That's actually quite similar to how I got into it. No wait... it's exactly the same! I found myself nodding and grinning at pretty much every sentence. Especially this one: "This meant the that I still had ponies on my mind when I got in bed so I kept lying there smiling, thinking happy thoughts ... and realizing that I should have been asleep several hours ago." I do that so much... >.< Ponies bring all the lurkers out, myself included!

Not enough questions about the show itself, and some of them were really silly. Something about how many worms were fed to how many birds at the beginning of the Dragonshy episode by Fluttershy... well what the hell does that have to do with being a brony? Or the colour of Derp's mane? Not much imo. I'd have preferred more questions about the Mane 6 and the relationships between them (Applejack/Rarity or Applejack/Rainbow Dash or Twilight/Pinkie Pie). But oh well that's just my impression. I still got 55%, which is pretty low imo.

I've watched Dexter, Weeds, South Park, The Office and a bucketload of other shows, but I don't have t-shirts of any of those, nor do I attempt to write fan-fictions or make songs. Or buy accessories. I'm just a normal guy watching a good show. Aren't I? Not enough questions about the show itself, and some of them were really silly. But oh well that's just my impression. I still got 55%, which is pretty low imo. Well, the way the fandom is, the quiz is kind of appropriate. That being said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with just "being a normal guy watching a good show". The crazy detail questions like Derpy's mane colour, the amount of worms Fluttershy feeds the birds in the opening of Dragonshy, etc, are really minute details that you'd know if you watched the episodes enough times. The quiz is basically a measuring stick for how deep you are into the fandom, I guess. The show affects everyone in different ways. Some people, such as myself, are pretty fanatical about it, so we'd score in the mid-high 90s on a test like that. At the end of the day, my definition of a brony is simply someone that is outside of the original demographic for the show that is a fan of it. It's similar to being a SC fan. There's varying degrees of fandom for the game. There are those that play hardcore, those that don't play but spectate, those that do both hardcore, etc. I don't really play, though I'm decent when I do, but I've watched every single GOM game and I watch most special events, such as MLG. Either way, however, we all ride the same bus, though we might be in different seats.
