That is just fine in my opinion, I feel kinda bad that you are bothered by it like that but its just the nature of the forums I suppose, those who are really into the show will post more often about it making it seem as everyone is some really devoted brony when the truth is that there is many lurkers and folks who feel the same as you do. There isnt much that can be done about it :p things will continue as they are in this thread i'm sure as its such a convienient place to discuss and show community / show related contributions but just know that you are not the only one who thinks that way, even if I dont share the same thoughts as you do I hope you understand.  Me and some friends were just hanging out when I took out my phone to check the time. One of my friends glanced over and saw my awesome Fluttershy wallpaper and basically said, "What the heck was that?"... so I also showed him my lock screen which is a great picture of Pinkie Pie and explained it a bit. He dismissed it after a while, but the next day in a photoshop class we have together I kept playing around with an image of Rainbow Dash and he said, "You really like My Little Pony that much? It can't be that good." To which I replied, "You'll have to see for yourself." That night we watched 5 or so episodes and he decided it was pretty good after all. Then I showed him some of the amazing songs people have made, because he's almost as much into music as I am. After that, he LOVED it. Brony creativity strikes again! Edit: Yeah rocker, you missed out on some serious collective man-tearing over that story. Also edit - Ooh, it's Plexa! Hai! | ||

Better to take things in excessive strides than to sit back and do what you are doing. A pool of pony, most of us plundge right in. You sit on the edge with your legs inside of it wondering about why we do what we do when you can just jump in yourself. It's not that, that I'm not trying, tasting. The only things I didn't check from contend linked in this thread are fanfics. I would like to check by myself if they are that good, but I simply don't have so much time for these things (job, school, other things). Dont be bothered by it, everything that has a fandom assoicated with it has different levels of fandom, from people who just participate and are meh about the whole deal to people who are hardcore about it. In a very fitting comparison, look at team liquid: There are the lurkers who browse and read the occassioal thread, the people who play sc2 and only glance at the forums every so often. People who are active in the community (posting a lot, etc) but who only play a litte, people who are hardcore contributors, people who spend hours editing liquipedia, etc. The thing is, you pretty much only hear from the most vocal/contributory/obsessed members of the community because they are the ones who care the most. Its just a matter of how much you enjoy something. Like back when I played WoW I browesed EJ, but I never cared enough to post/contribute because to me WoW was a fun game, not anything I had passion for. You can still enjoy ponies without being hardcore about it, or thinking its the best thing ever. Fake edit: wow, I ramble, I feel like this post doesn't actually explain anything... I actually tried the fanfics, but they're usually too long and convulted (I do sometimes end up reading the silly comedy ones, though, especially if it is just one chapter). The youtube stuff is meh. Same here, I like the show, I usually see the episodes as soon as they are released, but I don't browse EqD and the only comics/other fanmade stuff I watch I pick up in this thread.
