I guess if you don't like it after a few episodes then it's not really for you.

CYE is one of my favorite shows of all time easily i started watching a few months back and i think i've seen most of the episodes. season 7 was a masterpiece and i've grown to hate jason alexander haha. not really but the way he's portrayed as all scummy really grinds my gears.
of course i was a huge george fan in the seinfeld years, and since george is based on larry david it's no surprise that larry is one of my tv darlings season 8 opener was bliss, i was rolling on the floor throughout the majority of it. sooooo many jew jokes haha. can't wait for more season 8

first episode was awesome, larry has no filter, "that's a great desk for getting blowjobs; it's o.k. for me to call you bald, just like it's ok for black people to say nigger; you should recuse yourself b/c we're both bald." loving it!

you know, i might as well ask here - are any of you avid fans actually jewish? i only know one jewish guy and he's nothing like larry or jeff and i just want to know if the way that jews are depicted on this show is a charicature or if jews are really that adamant about having jewish lawyers, going to jewish golf clubs, doing ritual jew things, etc etc etc

Season 1 is the worst season. All of the episodes of season 1 are just random with no continuation. Every other season has a plot for each episode and then a plot for the season and each episode will have something for the season's plot which builds up to the season finale. I watched a couple episodes of curb many years ago and thought "meh, this is average/boring." Then a year ago I sat down and watched a bunch of episodes and realized this was the best sitcom on t.v. by far. The reason it's hard to get into is because the entire show is based off of Larry David's character and your ability to empathize with him and you can't relate to him after only a couple episodes. Try watching s05e04 Kamikaze Bingo. It's one of the funnier episodes and there's no backstory in it. Plus it features Kevin Nealon (the accountant from Weeds) who is a genius.

All hookups come with a +1 larry!

Loved this weeks episode!

man i didnt wanna say it after the 1st ep but now i can
s8 has turned out garbage so far
i find everything feeling uncharacteristically and rediculously contrived and forced, there is no flow, its like theyre trying to slot in more funny scenes but it just doesnt work, reducing it from a reality show to more of a rediculous sketch show.
ive never ever been displeased with an ep of curb until now (tho some of s6-7? were a bit too farcical/silly), ive watched s1-7 at least 3 times each.
but both s8 eps have been disgustingly disappointing for me.
anyone feel the same?

I watched my first episode (the one with the black swan) in a plane on the flight from germany to japan last year in december. got hooked since! easily the best tv show i ever watched. i cant believed i never knew about it, but maybe it is because there is now curb your enthusiasm in germany. (but seinfeld was!). im not even close to season 8 yet, though.

This show is just brilliant, best tv series ever.

Just watched seasons 7,6 and the newest of 8. Fucking hooked on this show. Would highly recommend if you are a fan of Seinfeld.

I'd watch a bit more if I was you. First season didn't click for me either, but it got much better in season 2 imho.

Gotta disagree... first episode was good, not great, but second episode was awesome! "YOU GAVE IT TO A BLACK GUY!?!?!?"
And if you think season 7 had any problems i'm just gonna have to disagree Favorite season of any comedy ever

In contrast to what some others have said, I didn't enjoy the early seasons as much. Season 1 and 2 didn't have the right rhythm for me. Things started to pick up in Season 3 and I've really enjoyed all that came after that.
I have to agree with Zelniq, though. Enjoyment of this show is often tempered by feelings of genuine discomfort as Larry David's foolishness and arrogance are so thorough as to make my stomach turn.
TL;DR Give it a chance beyond Season 1 as, imo, the content gets better.

OMGWTF s08e03 is a lollercoaster full of internet and meme references. Larry David even did a "Problem?", pure awesome.
