It is the mountain after all, not some random knight from the vale. Bronn is good but hes not that good. yepp, there s a world of difference between not willing to die in effort to save someone, and flatout selling him out and lying to him

I think that's just because Cersei didn't understand Bronn and Tyrion's relationship. She thought Bronn was just a lowly dumb sellsword who would do anything for money and she simply wanted to outbid Tyrion. I don't think Bronn would have fought the mountain even if nothing was on offer, because you know its the mountain.

Spent the entire episode with giddy anticipation. Was not disappointed.

Which then of course sends Tyrion into rage made and he kills the shit outta Daddy. Because I cannot see Shae betraying Tyrion or Tyrion killing Shae. Not gonna happen. Why not? He told her off pretty roughly this episode. Then he will spend a long time in Black Cells wrongfully accused, feeling betrayed by his Father. Then if they do it like in the book Jamie will tell him the truth about Tysha and then he will find Shae with his Father. By that part he is inraged and out of control. Especially if she also testifies against him at the trial. I really don't see that working for the show. Tysha hasn't been mentioned since the first season. Tyrion and Jaime talking about her would be odd enough, but Tyrion suddenly going into rage mode and killing his own father and the women he supposedly loves because of it? That'd be just weird and, frankly, bad writing. If they ever planned to go down that route, they would have put much more emphasis on Tysha in the last seasons and episodes.
Shae will make a surprise appearance at Tyrion's trial, she will testify against him, and either a) Tyrion will feel betrayed by Shae and think she hated him all along, find her in Tywin's bed and kill her, or b) Tyrion will know that Shae was forced to testify against him and will witness Tywin having Shae killed afterwards.
Either way, Tywin's gonna have a bad time. I still think that option a) would be a mistake at this point.

Yeah I'm still feeling pretty confused how they'll wrap up Shae.
It was definitely better in the books where the relationship was Tyrion falling for Shae and forgetting she was a whore despite everything. But Shae on the other hand was obviously just enjoying the riches and splendor. I thought it was really poetic for Tyrion especially. A man so desperate for real love, that he can be fooled by a whore.
I actually wonder if there is some way that the writer's will still have Tyrion kill Shae. What if it's under the pretense of a misunderstanding? Like Shae was trying to seduce Tywin to set Tyrion free, and Tyrion walks in as Shae was trying to save him. Mistakes it, kills her. Makes his dad shit after that.
I was also thinking about the potential subtelty of Cersei pointing out Shae to Tywin. It's obvious to the audience that Tywin should be like "right, gonna kill a bitch", but reading between the lines a bit it could be that Tywin is more like "That is a fine piece of ass..."

The wedding, Oberyn, Bronn+Jaime, Weirwood.net
Things I didn't like:
Shae (pls just die already), Stannis, Stannis wouldn't burn people for worshiping the wrong gods, Davos still worships the Seven ffs. As long as they bend the knee he would be ok with it. Stannis stopped caring for gods after he watched his mother & father die in Shipbreaker Bay.
I can kinda seen where they're going with Oberyn+Loras but there is supposed to be emnity from Tyrell side. I was hoping Jaime would suggest Loras to join the Kingsguard too, shame.
I haven't see the episode yet, but it's a pretty common complaint that Stannis is really badly portrayed. They tend to show him as outright evil, and always listening to Melisandre no matter what. In the books he's certainly not a saint as he goes along with some pretty evil stuff, but he doesn't obey Melisandre the way he does in the show.
And yeah, Stannis never truly believed in Melisandre's god. He just uses it as a way to get the throne. I guess I'll see in the episode just what it is exactly.

at first I didnt get why they used Bronn to do the training with Jaime. Then I thought about it and realized it would totally suck if he trained with a mute lol.
wonder if Bronn will start following Jaime around like Slynt did.

They're going to have a real problem with Bran soon. The actor is growing so much that Hodor won't realistically be able to carry him soon enough. And he still won't be able to walk. And it's unlikely they'll be able to make some sort of chariot or device to help him walk once they are past the Wall.
To be continued...

wonder if Bronn will start following Jaime around like Slynt did. I read that the Payne actor has cancer and will not play his role anymore and out of respect they will not find another actor.

He's a sellsword.
That's exactly it.

I think Shae will be back for the trial.
I also think the Ramsay of the show is just playing with that Miranda character, they will probably have her show her bits again and have another hound scene. It is just weird because the bastard treats women like complete trash in the books.

Hodor actor is a big guy, also most of Bran story is sitting down so they're shouldn't be much more carrying scenes left. I think for Bran this season we'll only see Coldhands and then he goes down in the tree and maybe it ends with him seeing the Greenseer. If the show is only 7 seasons, season 5 is him learning his powers and 6-7 we'll see if + Show Spoiler + He becomes king of the white walkers that happens like some book readers predict.

Never read the books, but going by that last episode my predictions for murder of Joffrey would be: the fool, then Oberyn, then grandma/Margery, leech magic.

One might wonder why you posted in this thread if you haven't read the books. There are no predictions here, we know who did it. Maybe you posted by mistake?
edit: about the episode, I seriously loved Oberyn. The guy just gives no fucks. He's speaking to the most powerful man in Westeros, and blatantly shitting on him. The actor is great. I can't wait for the fight.
edit2: I also love how every scene where Brienne interacts with another woman, they work the angle to show just how much she towers over them. I'm actually wondering if they're using a step stool or something, because she's really so much taller than Cersei and Margaery in those scenes, it's ridiculous xD

My biggest disappointment was that Joffrey was not drinking out of the huge wine goblet given to him by Mace Tyrell.

nope, I follow both threads and wikis for character i find interesting, i.e. Arya, tyrion, Jon, Danearys, the direwolves.
Basically made the prediction based on giving screentime to the fool. and maybe Pycelle.

oh yeah by the way, when is the next book coming out?
