Mixedish feelings about the Bronn scene but it's a smart adaptation.
Argh. I liked the book characterization instead of the golden hearted whore. Can't believe he wrote the episode. The Shae meeting just seems ... off for Tyrion.

Assuming you're talking about Cersei not Brienne.

I feel like the show is more sympathetic towards her than the books tbh.

I give it a 9/10. They got the majority of the details from Joffrey's wedding, so it's already a winner. Not having to wait until aDwD to see more of the Boltons and Theon is great too. Only downer , again, seems to be Shae. To be fair, they haven't really let me down too much with their deviations from the book so far so I don't want to overreact. However, I have to wonder if Tyrion will even be killing Shae now that he gave her a clear justification to stab him in the back. It now seems more like a gigantic misunderstanding instead of an outright betrayal by someone we should have known to be disloyal from the start.

I think it's just as much for the book readers as the film watchers. Can't predict if Shae will betray Tyrion in the trial for the show, or if Shae will take part most of Tysha's place for show plot ("wherever whores go"). Hell, maybe Tywin rapes and strangles Shae himself, I can see it happening.

And of course, going to miss Jack as Joff. Goddam I never scorned and hated a character this much. Also, looks liek Tommen got way taller/older now. Not sure exactly where they are going with the Shae bit though.

I got nothing, and neither seems like big news, but it's one of our rare hints from the show at things we don't know from the books yet.

I was spoilered to Joffrey dying so I knew this was eventually going to come, but near the fucking end of the season. Not the god damn second episode, during the fucking wedding. I mean theres no way for Tyrion to be blamed for his death. Who knew he was going to be forced to be cup bearer and give him the cup that poisons him, it was Margery's cup anyway he grabbed at I believe. It's gotta be the grandma, Sansa (she finally got some gump), Tywin, or Cersei who did it. So I doubt it was cersei as he was her son and she still loves him even though he's a dick. I think it might be the grandma or that one dude (the new gay/bisexual guy who said the lanisters aren't the only ones who pay their debts). I doubt sansa no way in hell she'd have the guts for that and I don't see how she could have either xD. Yeah, no way it was Cersei, she's not that good at acting ;p If it was Sansa that would go against everything. I feel like it has to be someone who was up close, and there were a lot of shots of the Grandma. She seems very devious too. It could be Tywin, but I think Tywin has a lot of family pride, even though they are a bunch of idiots a lot of the time. I mean I dunno, maybe Tywin thinks it'll be easier to rule with the other son because he will be more relaxed? Maybe he doesn't trust the Tyrell's. Going to be a good next episode! Re-watch the scene when Lady Olenna talks to Sansa. It looks like she grabs something off her necklace. Edit: Just watched it again and there is clearly a pearl of some sort missing at the end of it.

Well it was only a matter of time a non-reader would notice that and spread it around the internet. They did clearly show it in the episode.

Book Tommen was fun to read because of how adorable he was with his beet ban and his kittens. It'd be hard to do those scenes in the show because he'd just look like a retard. ![]() Iunno, he looks young enough to still play with kittens I think.
