She was mentioned by name, wasn't she? I don't think it matters if she was though.
They have shown Shae to be building up quite a lot of frustration against Tyrion. I wouldn't be so sure that they will depart from the betrayal.
I also can't help but think that one of the few purposes for that golden chain gift scene was to set that up as the stand-in for the hand of the king chain.

That's entirely possible. I would be quite disappointed by that, though. I mean, Shae would go from being jealous and annoyed at Tyrion to literally dooming him to his death. That's quite the leap, and I don't see how they could pull that one off in any believable way.

What if Shae doesnt betray Tyrion? Cersei and Tywin already know that Tyrion has a secret whore as girlfriend and take her hostage to use it against Tyrion. She is gone from then. Storyline goes on and in the end Shae kinda takes the part of Tysha (who is not existant in the show) in Tyrions quest to find her .... "Where whores go...".
I made this prediction last season, actually. I still consider it possible that Shae will remain loyal to Tyrion, will be forced to testify against him, and then Tywin or Cersei will have Shae executed (possibly with Tyrion watching), thus making him just as bitter and depressed as in the books. It's easily possible to get the "wherever whores go" line in there somewhere to refer to Shae instead, though they might as well just skip it.
Edit: Come to think of it, it would probably be Tywin who has Shae killed. Gives Tyrion the motivation to put a bolt through the old bastard's gut.
Tysha was actually mentioned in the show, but not by name. Tyrion told the story (or parts of it) in the first season to Shae and Bronn. But I don't think they have mentioned it since.
Yeah made the same prediction last season. :D And I would actually like that. It would make Tyrions killing his father way more understandable for the viewer. Tysha as the sole reason would not really work. Although the Tysha story was mentioned, almost no viewer will remember that. And they dont have all the Tyrion inner monologue like in the book where he thinks about her, so it would not be comprehensible for viewers imo. So I always thought this was the reason they made TV Shae so different from book Shae.
But then again last episode made things look different again, with the rift between Shae and Tryion they showed. I really dont know what they will do, but this makes watching as someone who has read the books more exciting.

The loss of that inner monologue is the game changer. If the red wedding, the precise politics of Ned's downfall, and maybe even the Dany/Drogo relationship are enough indication, it is their MO to compensate for the reduced exposition in a TV show by making things either more shocking or otherwise do things to make a "stronger" blunt impression. It is a trade off that seems clumsy to me, but maybe it is the best or only way to do it.
The Shae who appears to actually love him and then turns on him fits that pattern.
There is plenty of reason to the betrayal-less model too. That also fits the pattern, but with the focus on Tyrion's relationship with Tywin rather than Shae.
I think it can go either way, and we'll probably know within the next couple episodes.

The Bolton/Ramsey scene.
Cersei/Brienne sequence.
Leave it to Cersei to actually be jealous of the ugliest woman in existence. I hate the way she's portrayed in the show. In the books she's way more sympathetic.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the TV's rendition of the purple wedding! The Tyrion/Joffrey interaction felt really good. Some of the other dialogues felt kind of forced though.
Disappointed by the Shae/Tyrion relationship development. But it was clear the path they were going with that a long time ago...
