I was more bothered by Jon not leaving Longclaw at Castle Black when deserted. It was a point of honor for him to believe that he does not deserve the sword as a deserter. It also would have made the scene where Sam gives him the sword back more meaningfull.
I wish they fired these guys and found a better writers and directors for season 2.
This is all stuff that when I watch it with some friends of mine who haven't read the book I actually add in as comentary when I can remember exactly what happened in the book, I feel like I add to their viewing experience...

Yes, she's been banging Lancel since Jaime got captured, as Lancel bears a passing resemblance to Jaime.

He does leave it, the show just never shows you. Sam brings it with him and it falls to the ground when he does. It just appears out of thin air in that scene.
She's a bit old...but then again they raised the ages of all of the characters, so I guess if she's really 17 instead of 15 looking then it's ok? Still, she's almost 30 so passing for that young could be tricky..
Considering they aged everyone in the series, she would have to be around 20ish and i think she can pull that off easily. Anyways im pretty excited, i like her allot, she is HOT and can act, great combo.
from the sheer looks i do think she can pull it off
Yeah she comes of as a little bit too old for a 16 year old, but considering everyone of the younger characters has aged 3-4 years in the show i guess it could be okay.
As for her potential speaking part, yeah, it isnt all that big (at least in the books, i'm more than 2/3 through my a clash of kings re-read and i cant remember her speaking on maybe more than 2 occasions :D) but well, they will find a way around that, i am sure.
well since she isnt a pov char she will rarely speak and we will mostly hear about her in the 3rd person in the book, but im sure D&D will write some good scenes for her, they inserted allot of scenes in s1 that werent in the books since no pov chars were involved. So giving her stuff to say shouldnt be a big problem.
I imagine Lyanna ran off with Rhaegar. A character already fraught with guilt over the death of her father and eldest brother, could have taken poison after learning that Rhaegar had been killed by Robert.
Assuming that the period between the "kidnapping" and the end of the rebellion was long enough, she certainly could have become pregnant and given birth to John.

At this point this mystery is still a mystery, but if true it could be pretty epic for a twist. What if it turns out the Lyanna+Rhaegar thing was true, and Ned knew they were legitmately in love the whole time, and hid the truth from Robert/smeared it into the story of Rhaegar raping her. Maybe THAT was the real source of guilt Ned had for Jon all these years. BAM!
Natalie Dormer is too old for the part, she's hot and looks young, but not under 20. It's going to look weird with her engaged standing next to Joffrey and then Tommen. In the book it doesn't feel that awkward a 16 year old is engaged to an 8-10 year old, but a women that looks mid 20s with a 12-14 year old boy? I dunno.. Also the fact that shes not even supposed to be in clash of kings makes me think the writers are going to veer a lot more from the book in s2. I hope this was a mistake and she's actually playing Asha
Anyway it seems GRRM has a hard on for these Tudors girls. First he tried to get Tazmin Merchant as Dany and now he's got Dormer.
Amazing work by HBO staff , one of the best tv series i ever seen :p ... my favorites ( Rome , The Tudors , Band Of Brothers , The Borgias , The BoardWalk Empire ... )

It would also be tragic in that Robert would have believed to be fighting for the woman he loved, a woman that never loved him back and meanwhile he was busy killing the man she actually loved.
If it's true Robert might just be the most tragic character in all the series.
So I have a great idea just pop up in my head: using the season 1 trailer
we will make a MLG Anaheim trailer with voices of top western players: +imagine Idra = little finger saying: "distrusting was the wisest thing you have done" -> trasition into 6 pool +Tyler being edd xD +incontrol = king robert ..etc
Could TeamLiquid or MLG production line make this happen somehow? Hot_bid, itmeJP? I know u all love the show :D
