I don't really understand why they felt he had to go this early... Because they wanted to kill a singer in ep10 and didn't want to pay another actor. And this one already appeared in the show so some of the audience would recognize him. Killing a character that the audience knows has a bigger impact then killing a random face that just appeared.

![]() I assume the bald one is Biter though he was described as being monstrously fat in the books. The main one (who I think looks like a young Liam Neeson) is likely Rorge (described in the books as missing a nose. The third figure is unseen underneath the cloak (meaning likely the role hasn't been cast yet, hinting at a big name hopeful) and I would surmise is Jaqen H'ghar. Thought I'd share ![]() edit: another shot with a different angle ![]()

GRRM could kill off both Dany and Jon in the next book and it wouldn't be out of place at all in this series. I really don't get why people predict this series to follow fantasy cliches moving forward when it has hardly conformed to them at all up to this point. bleh if he killed jon and dany i'd stop reading ![]() ![]()

It's only fitting though, as an old smuggler he will has to be harder to kill than a cockroach. I just wish someone would get rid of Stannis so he could come over and help someone i don't despise so much. Is it common knowledge that he didn't die then?

He's promised to have first person view chapters in the 5th book (GRRM himself made a list of the FPV chapters on his website). However, as the first half of ADwD is set parallel to AFfC, it could still mean he dies. We'll just have to wait and see.

He was last seen at the Crossroad's Inn (I think? I'm not 100% sure about this, but it's certainly an inn), when / where Brienne fought and killed Rorge, and got wounded by Biter. I think that's where we see him last in the 4th book.

On topic: Love the series but does anyone else find the constant cliffhangers annoying? Like include them every now and then but not every climax needs to wait 100s of pages to be resolved.

I'm actually legitimately concerned that someone like Arya is going to die in the next book. I don't think that, as however above said, he would refrain from killing a main character just to maintain interest. I'd still read the books. After Oberyn died, I feel nothing ![]() The thing is, Ned's death had a point to further the story along. If he kills off a main character like Arya or Brienne, or at this point even someone like Tyrion, it won't affect the story at all because they aren't currently major players with respect to power, so what's the point? If he were to kill off Jon Snow, Cersei, or any actual leader, I think it would have a much greater effect
