But, this is GRRM we're talking about, so he'll probably just grow up to be worse than Joff. The "5 year gap" you hear about is actually book 4/5. Originally what is now going to be book 6 was going to occur after ASoS with a 5 year gap between them. He realized he was relying on flashbacks(of what occurs in our now book4/5) too much so thats why book 4/5 are around now. So there will as of now, god knows that can change anytime with GRRM, be no gap between 5/6.

Malisandre must be definitely beautiful, but beautiful in dangerous kind of way, with a fire in the eyes and so on, if you understand what i mean. Must be something scary about her, just imagine her giving a birth to a shadow. Crazy woman from second season of Dexter (the one who is in love with him, sorry do not remember the name) would be a perfect match for me. As for Stannis role, isnt Bernard Hill too old? He is still younger brother of Robert, and how old was Robert, 50?

Hendricks is not remotely fit. She has a body of laziness. I don't believe Martin ever says whether Melisandre is fit or voluptuous but I imagine Stannis would not be partial to a voluptuous woman and I don't view Melisandre's personality as compatible with a soft and weak body.

That show is garbage.. she'd be nice in GOT, though I don't think she's "exotic" enough for the role of Melisandre

Hah, now that you bring it up, the scarryest chick I have seen on TV for a long while is Ally Walker from Sons of Anarchy, she really has the crazy eyes and the looks to be a good Malisandre. Don't know why have I imagened Stannis to be that old, must be since he's described as such a serious guy. If he's 40-50 I'd love Viggo Mortensen, just to keep the 1 LoTR actor per season, and I'm pissed off that I don't see him after LoTR, since he's one of my favorite actors, though he might be to expensive for the budget.
