Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

if the person is in a state of hyperglycemia (can also lead to unconsciousness just like hypoglycemia) it's the right choice to give insulin as treatment. i see no reason why diabetics couldnt survive post apocalyptic - as long as they have access to insulin. it must be cooled, but its definitely not impossible to have some reserves even years after the zombie outbreak.

But in the end, it wasn't worth it because she died...

About 2 years is all you could hope for considering the shelf life. So realistically she was a dead woman walking based off existing supplies. Surviving till now is totally reasonable though considering they said they joined up with the group as stuff fell apart so presumably a story like was mentioned is reasonable.
Presumably a few scientists survived also and making insulin isn't that difficult so it could be manufactured in some place like Alexandria as a form of hope (for diabetics).
Insulin could also be used to help aid in getting nutrition from shitty food (so theoretically it could help maintain a semi-starving population.

I don't really see how the episode was filler. Daryl showed he's still trying to recruit people, and he lost his bike and crossbow cause of it. The big guy showed some character development, and they got some nice cigars and a rocket launcher. We also were introduced to new villains.
Sure, they're right back on the road and continuing what they did last episode, but that doesn't mean this was filler. Shit did actually happen, even if people are too busy wanting the Alexandria issue to be resolved to care.

They probably mean it's filler because none of it happened in the comics. Mostly we're just impatient because some + Show Spoiler + crazy fuckin hardcore shit goes down in the comics pretty soon.
I thought it was a great episode though.

Way better episode than the last one (and the flashback before). Stuff happened, characters developed. Sure, crystallized zombies biting random girl in the neck was retarded, and where the fuck do they get insulin a few years into the zombie apocalypse?! But well, the ep was decent.

Considering Daryl does not even exist in the comics that is a weak argument.
Personally I enjoyed the last episode. I am only irritated because they are obviously delaying Glen situation resolution.

did he just cut an arm with a big knife, in just 1 try? how did the zombie with the RPG even got suspended there?

The series is too far away from the comics nowadays to even consider any of this "canon". This entire show is filler based on the argument of "it didn't happen in the comics". This episode progressed story; introduced new group, showed Daryl still trying to find good people, showed potential romance between 2 main characters, and had Daryl lose his motorcycle and crossbow.

They are still trying to stick to the common story and underlying themes that are in the comics. But filler is filler, so this episode could be considered semi-filler as the Wolves were still outlined.
Season 2 really ruined any coherence this series could have had, thanks AMC. Season 2 WAS filler by every definition.

I for one am so looking forward to hulk Hogan blasting the hell out of zombies with an rpg. Maybe those guys in the truck will come back and we'll get some real combat for a change. Seriously, fuck character development episodes. I don't give a shit about your feelings. I want some god damn post apocalyptic warfare. Maybe if you had good and original character stories that didn't make me cringe, I'd enjoy them more. Instead we get some kung fu training sequence between a fat murrican and mr. "Please put me back on the show my career is non existent"

Glenn gets less and less dead for every episode the cram in before we get to know his fate. This show started pretty cool, but at this point I just wanna know how it ends!

zzzzzzzz that is what I thought of this episode. Also I love how Spencer can fall over the wall into the herd of walkers and they all just stand around.

I'm on record as saying that season 2 is some of the worst writing and filler imaginable. Hell go back and find the posts while the episodes were airing everyone was confused as the idiocy was abound.
Season 2 was when AMC decided that instead of great television they wanted popular but cheap television aka the terrible popular TV.

Yeah. Rather uninteresting.
Episode really does a good job of showing how boring Glen is now though. None of the charm he used to have exists anymore.

Well the Zombies helped make him lighter...
Looks like things are going to heat up now though, just in time to go on break, bastards.

we all knew that glenn was never gonna be dead.
i think we all can guess what's gonna happen next with sasha, daryl and abraham riding in with patty to save the day.
personally, i feel the last few episodes have been rather poor, including today's.

Anyone notice how in the first episode the walker uses the doorknob? why the hell are they so stupid throughout the series then? .-.
