Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

Why are retarded people always the one's that survive? + Show Spoiler +Did anyone else facepalm when the cop dude found that abandoned house, went in to scavenge and, instead of finding the keys to the truck in the front, proceeded to take the horse tied in the back? THE HORSE? OVER A CAR? IN A ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE??
*Edit AND THEN HE RODE IT STRAIGHT INTO THE HEART OF THE CITY! Are you kidding me? Did you not see him look and not find the key? Also, retarded people? Do you get to choose who survives? People who survive survived because of luck, not because they're smarter than everyone else. And yes people can make stupid decisions, even though I don't see how you got that idea from that scene. Why watch a show where everyone makes perfect decisions all the time? And, "retarded"? Why not, dumb? And as a side note, no one facepalmed from any of those scenes. He has no car or gas, so a horse would be the next best choice. And he was told that the city was where there was shelter. Why else wouldn't he go into the city. I'm pretty sure you did not watch this properly. Season 2! So excited.
I'm just saying that I'd assume atleast the majority of people that would survive such a circumstance would have to be intelligent in some way. Sorry for using retarded as a derogatory term on the internet; let's instead use the term "stupid". Of course luck would factor in a lot, but saying that everyone that would survive would have to just be lucky is "stupid". Perfect decisions aren't a must, but I would assume a person with common sense would have avoided that scenario (of riding a horse into the middle of a city). I vaguely remember him walking into the house, looking around a bit, and then spotting the horse in the back.
Maybe the keys were in the truck? Maybe they were in the kitchen? He didn't exactly try and find a way to use the vehicle but rather spotted the horse and went from there. Yea he needed to go into the city, but if he knew that much he had to have known riding a giant piece of meat would draw atleast some negative attention.
I guess if I were to just watch the show, or this scene in particular, without wanting to know why certain decisions were made compared to other options that presented themselves then no, I guess I didn't watch the episode properly.

I wanted to love this show so bad. The comic is amazing. The first episode of season 1 was absolutely perfect, then things went to hell so fast and off track.

On eztv.it it shows that the show has been delayed to the 30th of October, is this true?

Is this really starting again ? I have good hopes for the second season. Even with sucky writing there's zombies killing people.

Yeah, first episode was too good. Sadly they made the plot character-driven and used bad actors and a poorly written script.
Hope it gets better in S02.

I don't think there's a chance in hell, but I would love to see the Governor's saga on the TV show.
Craziest part of the comic.

iirc there was a different writer halfway through the show that caused it to go a bit downhill. From what I remember the original writers will be helping out again. this can mean awesomeness!
