Best scene of the season was Rick chasing down that cop. Holy shit that was raw.

Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Why couldn't it have been in the Northwest somewhere? As first reported by TVLine, AMC’s The Walking Dead spinoff will take the zombie apocalypse out West, with Los Angles serving as the spinoff series’ backdrop. That’s right, Hollywood is about to get hit with a zombie apocalypse. The move to the West Coast will allow writers to introduce a series of new scenery including some of Hollywood’s most iconic landmarks and a much larger city than The Walking Dead‘s original setting of Atlanta. Different strokes for different folks I guess. It's not like their are a lot of better shows on television. I'd rather have a 80% quality walking dead than 100% quality of most of the shows on TV. Want to talk about beating a show into the ground, Walking Dead has nothing on ish like CSI or American Idol...When you look at popularity combined with quality even a lower quality Walking Dead beats pretty much everything out there.

What's sad is that the Walking Dead is actually better than most shit on TV. Shocking, I know, but American television is so despicably bad that if you actually manage to find something that's not the news or some history/science documentary that doesn't suck you consider it a win. GreenHorizons is right when he talks about the other shows on TV. Most stuff on TV is so terrible that it should be criminal. Sit at home for a day and just flip through the American TV channels. It's laughably bad, and I mean it's really almost hilarious how bad most TV shows are. Regardless of your political views, Newsroom is a pretty well put together show. Unfortunately, it's taken Sorkin's political ideas from West Wing, and instead of spinning a good political drama out of it, he hamfistedly shoves them down your throat. Even so, ignoring the political message, the writing is decent and the acting is excellent. The characters and storyline are coherent. That same cannot be said for the Walking Dead. One day the zombies can easily be slaughtered by the dozens with nothing other than a stick, the next, a single half-maimed zombie causes the most die-hard of the survivors serious problems, and we're supposed to believe they are in mortal danger. Note that I'm not saying it's not enjoyable. This season of TWD has actually been very enjoyable so far. In fact, if you put newsroom and TWD next to each other for sheer enjoyability, TWD wins hands down. But it most definitely doesn't have high quality writing, or even acting, in comparison to Newsroom. Also: I think you'd be hard pressed to find two shows that have less in common than those two.

The Walking Dead companion series picks up right at the start of the zombie apocalypse and also stars Cliff Curtis, Frank Dillane and Alycia Debnam Carey. According to Deadline, Curtis will play a divorced teacher and beau to Dickens' character. Dillane and Carey play her two kids from a previous relationship. And it wouldn't be a cable series without a character with a troubled past—expect some secrets to come back and haunt Dickens' character. The pilot for the new series will feature scenes at a school and a hospital. Source

Today’s big news is that Kim Dickens has stepped into the female lead role for the series. She’ll play Nancy Tomkins, a guidance counselor. Dickens is currently most recognizable from her role as Detective Rhonda Boney in Gone Girl and before that as Colette Jane in Sons of Anarchy. I prefer to remember her as Joanie Stubbs in HBO’s Deadwood. If you haven’t seen Deadwood, go watch it. Please. Please go watch that show. It’s amazing. Source
