Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Terminus too idealistic in that last shot. No one on guard? Fences not that secure. Obviously funky, even without the "next week preview" it was pretty obvious that something is wrong with Terminus, it's a mirage for weary travelers. The preview obviously has some weird dystopian thingy going on with Terminus.

I agree. That was one of my first thoughts when they arrived.

For comics readers

+ Show Spoiler +
Is Terminus in the comics or is the TV show now treading into "fillers" to avoid catching up to the comics? I know that the TV show uses elements from the comics while trying to make some parts original.

You guys remember the episode with the creepy painting that Michonne unwrapped? Well, looks like a fan found the significance and foreshadowing... Found it from another forum. VERY cool BUT creepy...

Seems 95% likely Terminus is bad news. I'm guessing the explosion Carol and Tyresse spotted in the last ep is what caused the tunnel collapse Glenn's group encountered in this one and that it's somehow connected to Terminus. Even if it's incredibly predictable, Terminus has to turn out to be bs imo. Having the group reunite together again is like the worse way for this show to go. Civilization building is so season 3.

Also, Beth where art thou? Surely her ominous narration of her journey with Daryl earlier in the season is going to come back to bite.

Regarding the bolded part, in the end of the episode, Maggie explains that when they got swarmed int he tunnel she tried to think of what Glenn would do, and she began shooting the ceiling praying for the best and the ceiling came down and crushed the enough of the horde to let them escape.

The preview with the chanting repeatedly of 'those who arrive survive, salvation for all, etc etc' is a cult thing. Terminus is obviously a crazy place with some sort of cult following/leadership that'll probably have some deep dark secret as others have postulated like cannibalism/etc. Beth got picked up in what looked like an old school church pinto or a hearse.... would be fitting to have her be found in Terminus.

and regarding Comics + Terminus

doesn't exist in Comics, this is all new/filler if you want to call it that

Was just about to ask the same question about Terminus and the comics. In any case, where should I start reading from the comics? I know I have to backtrack a little bit. Chapter 90ish onwards is where the prison/governor arc is?

I feel like Terminus might be some cult/cannibalism deal, or maybe I've been watching too much Hannibal lately. lol...

Like others said, there is a very strong chance towards cannibals. We can assume that Beth was kidnapped by the people of Terminus. The house that Beth and Daryl stayed in is similar to Terminus, which is a safe haven. The house was neatly kept with a fully stocked cabinet. Even Daryl noticed that the food containers in the cabinet had no dust on them. And the whole using the dog to scout ahead trick to lower Daryl's guard the second time around, which led to the house being overrun. Also, Mary's line at the end... "lets get you settled and make you a plate." LOLLL

Around chapter 50 is right after the prison arc.

I'm feeling a TWD game season 1 episode 2 coming up at Terminus or + Show Spoiler +
the one in the comics with the cannibal hunters lol

Yeah, idk why but I was thinking that house might come up again somehow. That maybe the painting was left there not by someone who committed suicide but by a murderer who killed the family and left. The whole thing feels a little bit more elaborate than the typical remnants of psychological breakdown the characters encounter. Idk, just seems like several events within the area in the last few episodes come up again sooner or later (for example the group currently with Daryl that appeared in the very same episode of the painting)...

I am serious, they might have killed off the guy but that was because he was obviously dangerous and could have backstabbed any of them. How is killing him off different from killing Lizzie?

And I think Maggie will be burned alive in the finale

Man, the writing of the show can be so infuriating sometimes.

"This is the guy who knows how it all started." "Okay." ...okay? Okay? Why the fuck don't you ask him how it all fucking started? God. It's obvious that they're not going to reveal it anytime soon (if ever), but having the characters not even wanting to know how the end of the world started is just.. what the fuck? Not to mention that that guy is one of the most awkwardly written nerds I've ever seen.

Curious to see if they're really going to take the plot from the game and apply it to Terminus. Might be fun, but might also be utterly terrible, depending on the show's writing. Can't wait for the main characters to be completely oblivious of all the blatant hints that something is very wrong about that place until one of them dies.

I think it's fairly obvious he has no idea how it started. The way he talks about games so much makes me think he wasn't a scientist or whatever, instead just a shut in who convinced some people that he knows what's happening because he couldn't make it by himself.

Of course, if that's the truth we're not going to find out until like the end of next season after the group has already walked through 2 whole states or something.

That's quite likely, but that only makes the other characters even more idiotic for letting him get away with it. They not only do not get suspicious when he doesn't give out any details, they do not even bother to ask him about any details in the first place.

I mean yeah, stupidity seems to be a running issue with these people

But at the same time, I think they're so willing to believe him because it gives them hope. Instead of just surviving, or running, or trying to fortify some place that's going to get attacked by people or walkers or something - now they have a purpose, something they feel is important. Hope is quite lacking in the apocalypse.

As soon as I saw that meat being cooked I thought to myself: ''Yep, that's human meat.'' Terminus clearly is not a nice place. The quietness alone made it feel creepy. That lady was also really creepy, all alone and stuff. The next episode will probably be creepy. Everything will get creepy. Or then not and I will be very disappointed.

I gotta say: I've enjoyed this half-season quite a bit so far. After playing house on Hershel's farm and in the prison and the whole ridiculous Governor spiel, I like seeing them on the road again. There's some survival, some new faces who aren't only cannon fodder, some human interaction that isn't facepalm-inducing, and not too much drama for drama's sake. My personal favorites were Rick escaping from the house and Lizzie's demise. I'm afraid Terminus will put an end to this.

I did miss that. They still could have killed Daryl but didn't, the way I see them is they are just really good survivalists and banded together for better survival. They only take what they need, have an established ruleset, and so far don't try to start some shit.

Of course they want Rick dead because he killed one of their members, but that doesn't mean that they are 'evil'

I believe it's a reinterpretation of a certain storyline in the comic books. Comic readers know almost exactly where this is going, but it's been remixed enough that we don't know the exact details of what will happen.

In regards to the gifs you posted, the foreshadowing is very clear now. Those paintings also had similarities to Lizzie, with the hairstyle, flowers, and general demeanor. Basically they're saying this lady's a sociopath. I'm worried about which characters will die next season.

As you can see... it's the same woman.

Yeah, I agree. It can be for both Lizzie and Mary. It would be crazy, but also far fetched for some, if she was the mother of Lizzie and Mika. Like maybe Lizzie thought she died, which explains the reason why she tied and styled her hair after Mary.

Also, a member named Scalemail Ted from a fan forum of The Walking Dead pointed out that all the paintings are foreshadowing of future episodes. Here is a copy and paste of his post

Since you've added your theory with Lizzie, it got me interested to recheck 'Claimed'; here's my findings:

The first painting that is explicitly shown is:

Bunnies; possibly a reference to the bunnies that Lizzie killed in 409

The second painting explicitly shown is:

Sunflowers; either a Terminus reference with literal sunflowers there or a "Lizzie look at the flowers" reference

Third painting explicitly shown is:

A dog; possibly a reference to the dog that appears in 413-Alone

The final painting explicitly shown i this scene is:

The creepy woman; either Mary from Terminus or Lizzie

I still feel that the framing of Mary in that last shot of 415 was purposely designed to parallel this painting; same with the sunflowers... but interesting theories none-the-less.
