Damn, am I easy to influence. Despite him being the scummiest asshole ever, I was sad to see Merle go. For a man determined to die, he still made the best decisions for the situation. He let Michonne go, smartly pulled a herd to the governor and took out a good number of Woodbury's fighters, and only failed to kill the Governor himself due to bad luck. This is about as redeeming as it gets, I guess. I liked this episode a lot, not having to endure Andrea was such a relief. Also, I think Michonne talked more in this episode than in all other episodes combined.

I think Merle's character had gone about as far as he could. Sad to see him go, but I won't miss him. He didn't belong with the prison group or Woodberry. I'm guessing he blamed the Governor for making him into the outcast he became and wanted to take him down regardless of the consequences.

I'm pretty sure they decide to leave the prison. As in the preview you see the governors men attacking the prison with brute force, only one way how they can survive that and that is being gone before they are there.

Kinda awkward how michonne was suddenly able to speak entire sentences multiple times an episode. Show seems to be getting worse by the episode.

I don't understand how anyone can say this episode sucked. All of the interactions between Merle and Daryl/Michonne were brilliant. Really added a lot to the character.

There is no way that is going to happen. This entire season since the break has been nothing but build up towards the big fight.

Also why did Merle kidnap Michonne if he was going for a suicide mission? Was he gonna use her as bait but changed his mind after they had that talk in the car?

I dunno.. merles dead seems a bit without purpose to me. somehow useless. let the bad guy die as a martyr..
I dont get why it had to end like this. there will be enough bullets flying around next episode, he could have caught one defending the prison. Would have been less of a stupid death but whatever, hes not part of the initial story anyway.

The first third of the episode was pretty boring, since it was blatantly obvious that Rick wouldn't hand Michonne over, no matter how much they tried to make us believe that. The rest was pretty good, though. Hooray for character development and suicide-by-governor.

Yeah, that bugged me, too. Michonne trying to get into Merle's head just doesn't seemed at all like a thing she would do.

I liked the episode, it really was written well and built up to this next episode. People just look at these TV shows and expect them to be perfect as if life is perfect. I enjoy it because it occupies my Sunday nights and gives me something to look forward too.

Glenn or Maggie won't die. Not yet at least. Hershel is high on the list. What is a good wedding gift in a post apocalyptic world? The death of Maggie's father and Glenn's father in law. They might as well throw in Beth too to make it worst for Maggie since her whole family is dead.

I seriously hope Carol suffers a horrible death, like multiple stabbings, it's like that fat old guy throwing morality speeches full of bullshit over and over again that lived too long, good thing zombies ate him like a dog. It woud be good to see Beth die, but only because I like her and I like seeing women that I like die in movies, it makes me feel pretty people got as good a chance to survive as everyone else, which is contrary to hollywood's standard of who lives in these appocalypse themes.

I'm really hoping they didn't intend it to be that way. That would make Merle such a shallow, dumb character. Unless there's proof showing that I'm wrong, I'll continue to belief that this was his plan all along, knowing that there was no group for him to return to, no matter who will win in the end.
