Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

He could have gotten the wrench and pried the bolt to snap or at least tried to saw it. Sawing your own arm off and then presumably scaling a building doesn't sound reasonable at all. Not reasonable? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Ralston That man cut the flesh off of his arm, broke his bone and then hiked 8 miles and rappelled down a 65 foot cliff with only one arm. And he wasn't in a zombie apocalypse with crazed flesh-starving humans trying to get to him.

Too much relationship drama in a zombie tv-show. Need more action and more zombie killing. Maybe next week then..

Maybe next week then.. Unfortunately I think your going to be disappointed then since Walking Dead has never been a truly action orientated story, instead focusing on relationships and the psyche of the characters. There are a few fight scenes now and then, but don't expect anything like what you would expect to see in a zombie movie.

Maybe next week then.. I'm glad they're taking the time to develop characters and making post apocalyptic society the focus instead of catering to the ADD halo/COD fanboys who can't go 5 seconds without seeing something explode/get shot. If they took the latter route, I sure as hell wouldn't be watching this show.

Yeah...not only this but even if the reason he chose to amputate over cutting the chain was the hacksaw was too dull to cut through the vertical piece, I'm pretty sure he could have made it through one side of the link binding the handcuffs, and then through force pulled it off. Sure he'd have a perma handcuff bracelet but if he made it back to the camp he could use better tools there. Yeah, it adds a sense of shock but also total fail on a guy that's supposed to be a "rugged badass (albeit racist)" by not surveying his surroundings with all the time he had before the dead were even close. Had he done this, he'd have found the hacksaw hours? if not a good chunk of minutes before he'd be in a situation where he'd feel his only option was to amputate. Maybe I'm being too critical of it, but I think they could have done the scene better. Sure we all knew if he got out he'd be coming back with a vengeance for those that left him, but he was going to do that with or without his hand. Now he's just a one handed antagonist instead of a two handed antagonist. Babbling, but hey that's what this thread's for!

+ Show Spoiler + Okay so he sawed of his hand, something you could see a mile away from the fist five minutes. And even before that when the black guy knocked over the bag of tools. My only gripe was, other than the annoying characters, was where is the blood? Seriously, he sawed his hand off and there wasn't a single drop of blood on the floor or a even a smudge, nothing.

Seriously, he sawed his hand off and there wasn't a single drop of blood on the floor or a even a smudge, nothing. Yeah I foresaw the whole hand thing last episode too. Also he could have used the belt to cut off circulation before he hacked his arm off. A lot of things really bugged me in this episode though, starting with the unnecessarily long relationship scenes. I mean the guy goes up to his son, says "I told you I'd find you." then goes up to his wife and says "I told you I'd find you.", she responds with "you're cocky" and then he says "I told you I'd find you" again and she responds with "You're cocky." AGAIN. Jesus me who wrote the script for this episode? Another thing: the whole secret affair drama. So the main character's partner presumes that he is dead (fair assumption considering the chance he'd survive) and then goes out of his way to save his friend's wife and son. Then they consensually fornicate and he bonds with his friend's son afterward as a sign of good will. Then when his friend comes back, his wife blames everything on the partner and tells him to get lost. What an ungrateful and manipulative whore (took her only a few days to get over her husband's death and jump into his best friend's pants). I hope she gets bitch slapped later on > ![]() And lastly, there was barely any action. We didn't get to see nearly enough zombies and there was a grand total of two kills (excluding the deer). I still liked the episode somewhat but after the previous two I expected much more. Hopefully the next three will not disappoint.
