Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

I don't like how they keep adding more and more characters. Yes, oh my god I was going to rant on the preview, but I waited. The episode was nice and developed a really good atmosphere. Tension between Lori and Shane. Rick being noble. I liked the episode, but the preview was just... why. Why would AMC do this. It's moving way too fast and skipping parts. I wish they would follow the comics a bit better. DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE COMICS OR DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED + Show Spoiler + The leader guy in the preview looked like the other leader of the city. You know, the one during the prison time. Way too early, and where are the other important characters? + Show Spoiler + About the closing scene, where Mearle? cut his hand off. It seems like it's suggesting that the hand will come off, but it could also be that it isn't going to happen. Do people like zombies being called walkers or roamers or biters?

this episode was a bit lacking on zombies but the whole sci-fi zombie apocalypse world is one of the best I've seen since DotD

Other than that though I think the dialog and acting was much stronger this episode, the reuniting scene was really well done in my opinion, and I like all the little character details they've thrown in; such as Dale's "deal" with Rick and Glenn's disappointment at having his car stripped. The final scene was pretty awesome as well, I enjoyed watching the wife beater take a beating and then realized how sick that is in itself. Walking Dead is at its best when depicting the degradation of the human spirit, and if the show strives towards this end then I think it will continue to improve. Also, I hope that some of the filler characters become zombie chow soon.

The whole series isn't about Zombies. It's more about how humans react when all of man-kind has gone to hell. I didn't like the preview for next weeks episode. I really really hope it's a good episode. From the preview, it looked like a bunch of idiots survived.

Well, it lacks in zombies until some key moments. I would mention the word horde, like during the tank scene, and some other scenes. And zombie killing was also pretty big in the comics. Although not this early on so I'm going to say wait for season two. The comic's really not about zombies.

I love TVs, I love action movies, I love dramas, I love scary and non-scary horror movies with zombies, but that scene alone was too much violence for me to enjoy ![]()

The human on zombie violence isn't even that glorified either (at least not in the sense Dawn of the Dead and 28 Days/Weeks Later is). The violence certainly is brutal though, quite brutal, so it's not for everyone. That said, I thought the third episode was fantastic. Everything was extremely well done, the dialogue was great, the acting was good, the reuniting scene was done very well, etc. Like others, the preview for next episode doesn't look that great, but it could be interesting. Gangs are definitely one of the kinds of social groups with a high survival rate - they're well armed, well trained, alert, there's a clear hierarchy already established, and they typically live in a well controlled (and easily defendable) area. They might not know what a production curve is, but they don't need to either.

Dead Set is an amasing show about zombie, it takes place in a "big brother like" tv show and it's verry funny. IMDb link

I thought that scene was really poorly done. There was NO BLOOD anywhere but on the handcuffs, there was NO BLOOD on the hacksaw, there wasn't even blood on the hand. He could have been eaten and turned, he could have sawed off his own hand, but either way there would be blood on the floor.

Talk about some guy getting his ass kicked.
