Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |
For those of you wondering why the guy early on got sick from being bit.
+ Show Spoiler +I went to the talking dead wiki and it said that being bit by zombies can cause you to be infected since they are dead corpses they have a lot of diseases. You don't get infected by the virus that turns you into a zombie though, just whatever diseases they may have.

I was like "They be skipping for flesh!" They definitely looked happy than usual. The only question I have is not if, but WHO is going to die in the season finale. + Show Spoiler +In the comics, (if I remember correctly) only carl and rick survive until the end with some other random people.
I hope no one else dies besides andrea.
Daryl is to much of a badass to die. I'd be pissed off to shit if they killed Daryl. Its probably going to be Hershel and his family besides Maggie who get killed because they served their purpose at least.

I don't know, I hope no one, or maybe Hershel's no name kids. At this point with the last 2 episodes the body count has been high enough to end the season without a major death.
The stuff you talk about in spoiler is much later on.

And yeah, the only person I wouldn't mind dying is Andrea. Hopefully no one will die but I find that to be wishful thinking

Ahh I love that scene, probably one of the better zombie scenes in a movie/show (I still find it hard to watch because I feel so bad for him). At the very least the guy deserves the, "unluckiest zombie death ever"

I seriously hope you guys are confusing Andrea with Lori. Lori is fucking terrible, terrible character. I dont have a problem with Andrea anymore. Her dumbassness stopped for the most part, and I'm a terrible judge of acting so if she's bad at acting I haven't noticed.

Glad Shane is finally out of the picture, he was really annoying as a character. Like he would scheme and do shit just for the hell of it. I kinda wish though after he was stabbed they just left him so he could tear it up as a zombie and kill maggie, but I'm ok I guess with how it ended.
Excited for the season finale, finally hordes of zombies breaking into the farm and low ammo panic mode, someone's gonna die.

I just can't get over how much of dumb bitch Andrea was, thus why i wouldn't mind her getting killed off. Also, the andrea actor isn't bad at all. She is pretty good.

I feel like all this hate for Lori is more or less justified...but looking at the overall picture there seems to be a pattern. Each character gets an episode dedicated to them being stupid to keep things "interesting" (interesting in the sense that it pisses people off and has people talking about it). Like last week when Carl dug into his mom's medical cabinet and OD'ed on stupid pills. Man that got me riled up. So if your going "naw man Daryl hasn't done anything stupid!", you just wait. His turn will come.

Well, if anything, Daryl's "Stupid virus" episode will more be entertaining.

Shit, I hope you're wrong. Daryl is the last person who I really like. Well Glen's pretty cool too but he's panzified a little.
So about this comic: How long is it? I think I wnana pick it up.

There are 7 hardcovers (or you can buy 1 compendium that has 4 of the hardcovers). It's fairly lengthy, the show is at a point that's only like 1 hardcover (maybe 2) into the story.

Wow, good episode!
Shane is a pretty conniving bastard for coming up with that twisted scheme just to kill Rick and steal his family. Almost as cunning as Wile E. Coyote scheming to kill Roadrunner .
Rick, calming Shane down just long enough to shank him in the gut. Ouch!
Good thing Rick gave his boy that gun back, because Shane turned into a Walker pretty fast.
Daryl, with his hillbilly hunting abilities, tracking down Zombie Randy and diagnosing his cause of death, all in the dead of night.
Glen, using his Korean APM to hack Zombie Randy's head into a pile of mush.
And of course, T-Dog with his most airtime since he cut his arm open on a jagged piece of metal.
From the looks of next episode, the farm will get taken over by the Walkers let loose from when Rick and Shane went into town to free Randy.
And my guess is that all the extraneous characters will get killed off, leaving only the main cast to move on.

On March 12 2012 11:09 Crazyeyes wrote: lol @ Disengaged failing hte spoiler. Okay, so with this new revelation of apparently everyoen becoming a zombie no matter what, I have a question: If Rick (random example) gets bitten but does not die, will he eventually turn into a zombie like in regular zombie movies? Or does he have to die first?
All of the living are infected with an inactive strain of the virus that becomes active once they die. Zombies are carrying active strains so If the living get bitten etc. the active virus kills them and either turns them or their passive infection kicks in. Anyway it doesn't really make sense how a bite or scratch would transmit the active virus while blood, close contact, inhalation (think of them standing around after burning the zombie bodies, just like the security guards) seemingly does not. But one can't read too much into the medical science of zombies or we would become sorely disappointed that most conceptions of zombies are absurd. I don't think I've ever seen a zombie in any movie drink water, but the muscles in the human body would literally not be able to function without it, or without blood for that matter, which begs the question why can't zombies bleed to death (yea I know they are already dead), or why don't gunshots to the chest work since the lower portion of the brain is still semi-working (as seen in the season 1 finale), it would still need oxygen to function at all. Meh.

That was a fucking amazing episode, and it looks like next episode its straight out going to be a blood fest. Sad that the season is over, but cant wait for next season 23 episodes!

There's not an assault on the farm, the lot of them simply leave because they found the prison which was a better place to be because of how secure it was.
