Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

They revealed that you can turn without being bit or scratched, everyone is infected. Thats why the show is called "The Walking Dead" not because of the Zombies but because the people alive are all infected.

The kid got infected without being bitten too (they said his neck had been broken - which is what Shane did)
From this episode, it looks like it doesn't matter if you're bitten or not because the Kid/Shane, as far as we know, weren't.

It's possible that the people trapped in the cars essentially had their brains fried in the sweltering heat of summer.

Well it's the matter of how did he turn into a Zombie if he died from just a broken neck and no bite marks. Apparently, if you die (without suffering blunt head trauma) you turn into a zombie regardless of bite marks or not.

This was the best episode of this show I have seen in awhile, it was pretty amazing.
It really is a shame to see shane die, I really liked him as an actor and the role he played on the show.
I also can not believe we got to see T-dog so much, like wow! That was so amazing, I was beyond excited to see T-dog so much!

Did anyone catch who wrote this episode? This is one of the best episodes in the season by far. Deserves tons of props.

Well it's the matter of how did he turn into a Zombie if he died from just a broken neck and no bite marks. My guess is there is something in the air they breathe and when the die, it triggers the virus or whatever they breathed in and changes them.
But on another note, that episode was sick. I pride myself in being able to see things happen whether it be shows and movies and that entire episode outside of shane killing randell threw me for a loop.

They should have known that once they found the zombie hanging in the woods that it wasn't caused by a zombie scratch or bite.... did everyone forget this early on in season 2? Darryl was pissed he lost an arrow

lol @ Disengaged failing hte spoiler. Okay, so with this new revelation of apparently everyoen becoming a zombie no matter what, I have a question: If Rick (random example) gets bitten but does not die, will he eventually turn into a zombie like in regular zombie movies? Or does he have to die first?
It's been a while so if this exact thing actually happened in the show.. I don't remember.
This episode was pretty fun, didn't expect Shane to die. I'm also surprised he got killed so easily. Rick CLEARLY moved his hand back for the knife, plenty of time for Shane to do something about it. I also find it pretty retarded that all of hte zombies from a billion mile radius heard the bullet. There was a gunshot last episode, after all.

Shut upppppppp I never used it before lol
Well, one of the people from Season 1 got bit and he was walking about with the group. He was the guy that was digging holes nonstop in Season 1. Forgot his name. He got bit and was getting sick, he had a high fever and his body was aching.

In one of the earlier season 2 episodes on the highway, they ran into a "pack" of zombies just wondering so maybe that is why they are all coming.

Zombie virus is airborne. When people die, they become the undead.

you have to die, but i think a bite causes a big infection and you die pretty fast after that no matter what.

Isn't this still season 2? But no, that didn't really prove anything. Zombie trasnformation is usually slow (at least in other shows, I apparently forgot how zombieism works here) so he could have chosen to end it before he turned. Or something. Also they never really checked his body. He could have had massive gashes all over.

So them spitting in your mouth or having a drop of bood touch your open gash or something should be OK, then? That's wht I always worry about when someone gets into a scuffle with a walker. CLOSE YOUR MOUTH WHAT IF HIS GROSS PUSS FALLS IN THERE?

Ah, I guess that makes sense. Just another case of convenient bad luck then. I guess I'm not complaining... having the stability of the barn is not good for my entertainment.

Is it just me or did it kind of look like the zombies were skipping their way out of the forest at the end?
I was like "They be skipping for flesh!"

The only question I have is not if, but WHO is going to die in the season finale.
+ Show Spoiler +In the comics, (if I remember correctly) only carl and rick survive until the end with some other random people.

If you remember Jim from season 1, he was bitten and came down with a fever. It didn't kill him immediately, but he wanted to be left on the side of the road to die.
