Beyond Creation is amazing, got to love the fretless bass. I also love Enslaved, the new album kicks ass and the clean vocals are even better than before. And I never expected to see Exivious posts here! I listen to them a lot while laddering and have seen them live in Cologne, great performance. In general I'm a big Death Metal fan, especially when it comes down to strange sounds, like Gorguts or Ulcerate. But I also love straight-up old school Death Metal like Morbid Angel, Pestilence, Suffocation etc. I also play and record a lot of Technical Death Metal for myself with my guitar but I'm unfortunately not in a band. Keep it brutal, guys.

Also Welcome man, nice taste for sure! Seeing as you're from germany and knowing Gorguts I assume you probably already have heard Obscura (not just the album but the tech death band as well) but just in case you haven't, I'm pretty sure you will love it. Keep it brutal indeed.

Love his production on AN's "Hell is empty and all the demons are here", which is why I consider it my favorite record from the group. Songs like "Shatter the empyrean" just sound like you're being fed through a meatgrinder and "The final absolution" with the doomsday chorus is so evil. Love this group to death.

Keep it brutal indeed. Of course! I've seen them live 2 times, great band. Though I think they sometimes sound too theoretical if you know what I mean. Gorguts - Obscura is just a freaking chaotic journey, it's like listening to free jazz. Anyone listening to Enslaved - RIITIIR? My favourite album of the year so far, great songwriting and clean vocals. I like the album even more than Spawn of Possession - Incurso... And I'm a freaking SoP fanboy. :D

My expectations were actually very high and they didn't fail to deliver. I really really like it. The only downside is that it is rather short :-( you can already check it out on their website-stream: http://www.wintersun.fi/album-stream/

I can understand what Jari was talking about now with how mixing might have been such a daunting task. There are so many layers to every song! While I do think the album is fantastic (When Time Fades Away and Sons of Winter and Stars are playing on repeat in my head right now), I'm slightly disappointed that the insane soloing we know and love Jari for is not really there in full force on Time I. Here's hoping Time II brings some of that back! After 8 long years of waiting the new Wintersun album Time I is going to be released tomorrow. My favourite track from the album: The cours is in Italian and comes from Ruggero Leoncavallo's famous 'Vesti la giubba' ('Put on the costume') It is about a heartbroken Clown who found out that his wife is cheating on him. But despite all his pain and torment he must keep the show going. Ridi, Pagliaccio, sul tuo amore infranto! Ridi del duol, che t'avvelena il cor! Laugh, clown, at your broken love! Laugh at the grief that poisons your heart!
